Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 154 by HusnaS

154. Hands Off The AG Group

Heidi’s lips parted in shock and she sprang up, dazed and confused. “When did it happen?”

Because she’d stood up abruptly, Heidi felt dizzy in her head and she shut her eyes for some seconds.

Why wasn’t she notified then?

If the beverage company was closing down, they were supposed to have given the AG Group a head start.

Under the gazes of the family members, Heidi hurried upstairs and picked up her phone. Before she dialed Isla’s number, the phone’s screen lit up with Isla’s name.

“Ms. Olsen, I’ve been dialing your number for over an hour now. What’s wrong? Why didn’t you answer your phone?”

“What’s going on, Isla?”

Since Heidi put the phone on silent last night, she hadn’t turned it on.

Isla told her the same news the Butler broke to them. It turned out Isla wasn’t aware and then forgot to tell her.

“What are we gonna do now, Ms. Olsen? These people pulling out their investments is worsening matters.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll think of a way,” Heidi assured her.

But after hanging up and sitting on the bed, she rubbed her forehead tiredly.

“Heidi, are you sick?”

Not realizing that her mum was inside the room until the woman spoke, Heidi jumped in fear.

“M-Mum, what are you doing here?”

“Won’t you answer my question?” Regina gave her a pointed look, dropping both hands on her waist.

Heidi avoided her gaze, her eyes darting to the ceiling. “Don’t worry, Mum. I’m fine.”

Yet, Regina didn’t move from the spot, her brows furrowing.

“Come, let me take a proper look at you, Heidi.”

Heidi’s heart dropped to her stomach, the earlier anxiety in her heart returning. Under her mother’s interrogative gaze, she felt like a criminal.

“Ah, Mum. I’ll- I need to use the bathroom.”

Without waiting for her mother’s reply, she hurried inside the bathroom, shutting the door.

At The AG Group.

It was as if a real fire had broken out. There was chaos everywhere and the employees were in a frenzy.

“Ms. Olsen, have you heard the news?”

“What do you plan to do about it, Ms. Olsen? We have lost all our important pillars of support.”

“Ms. Olsen, is AG Group’s success far- fetched? Bad things only keер happening.”

The employees interrogated her as if they were the paparazzi.

Heidi had no other thing to say but, ” Please stop panicking, Everyone. You can all continue with your work.”

She neither made any promise nor told them their assumptions were true.

Her demeanor was calm and the subtle smile on her face was meant to calm the employees.

It had an effect, but not all of them who secretly grumbled the words,

“Now what? Even appointing a CEO can’t do anything to save the Group.”

“Why do we have to watch the company lose allies after allies every day?”

“This has got to stop, otherwise I’m quitting!”

Each of those murmurs didn’t miss Heidi’s ears as she made her way to the elevator.

Arriving in her office, she sat on the couch, looking tired.

Isla was already waiting at the office. ” Ms. Olsen, you have come. Please take a look at this.”

On the tablet Isla showed her was a display of the Group’s current net worth which had drastically declined.

“Ms. Olsen, we have been doing a good job recently, but it seems some people are keen on bringing this Group down. Don’t you think it’s a setup?”

Heidi knew it was a set-up by none other than her uncle.

She dialed Harold Olsen and he answered the phone after a few rings. ” What do you want?”

“Did you or did you not cause this?”

“You already know the truth, why ask me again?” Harold Olsen said darkly. ” Heidi, hands off the AG Group, if not, something worse might happen.”
