Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 150 by HusnaS

150. Their Family’s Secret

The Carlsons’ Family?

Lucas listened to the other person, his mind filled with confusion. What kind of a relationship would the Carlsons probably have with such a hooligan?

“How accurate is the information?” He asked after some moments of pondering.

The other person replied, “Many people who know him confirmed that he is Mr. Carlson’s boy. RoseHills Hotel belongs to Mr. Carlson, and the person who manages it is Todd Lewis.”

That was how strong Todd Lewis’s relationship was with the Carlsons.

“Find him wherever he is hiding. If you have to turn down the whole city, do. I want him alive and healthy.”

So that he could revel in torturing the maniac.

After hanging up, Lucas didn’t spend another second in his office. He left the company and ordered the Driver to take him to the Carlsons’ Household straight.

Mr. Carlson and Mrs. Carlson, apart from being happy, were also surprised to see him.

“This is an unusual surprise, Son-in- law. At this odd time of the day, you decided to grace our home with your presence.”

“Come, Come, please sit down.” Mrs. Carlson gestured to the couch. “It’s a long ride from the company here, I’ll ask the servants to prepare some refreshments.”

Lucas neither moved nor reacted to their warm welcome. He went to the point by asking Tracy’s father. “Todd Lewis. Do you know his whereabouts? Something happened at RoseHills Hotel last night, are you aware of it?”

“Son-in-law, what are you talking about?” Tracy’s father exchanged a shocked look with his wife.

After a few seconds of instant pondering, the couple looked pale, especially Mrs. Calson.

Mr. Carlson said, “Todd Lewis, I don’t – I don’t-”

“I know he’s your boy.” Lucas cut him off before he could even think about lying.

Mr. Carlson’s eyes widened a bit, fright flashing in them.

Thirty seconds went by, he didn’t say a word. Then he cleared his throat. “You are right. Todd Lewis was my boy, but not anymore.” He looked at his wife then turned to Lucas. “You see, RoseHills Hotel was once mine, but Todd acquired it. I no longer own that hotel.”

“Yes-Yes.” Mrs. Carlson bobbed her head. “That’s exactly what happened, Son-in-law. It has been years since we last communicated with Todd.”

From the couple’s reaction, Lucas sensed that something was amiss.

He nodded anyway, and left.

Inside The Harrison Villa.

Tracy was sitting on the couch, drinking from a glass full of milk while the maid trimmed her toenails.

“Get up, you idiot! Can’t you hear my phone ringing!?” She yelled at the maid, kicking her away.

Mira picked up the phone which rested on the chair’s armrest just beside Tracy.

“The name reads, ‘Mum’, it’s a call from your parents.” She answered the phone for Tracy who felt that her newly polished fingernails were too precious to hold the phone.

Mira placed the phone on Tracy’s ear.

“Dear, where are you at the moment? Did something bad happen between you and Lucas Harrison?”

“It’s obvious I’m in the Villa, Mum, where else would I be?” Tracy grumbled. “What’s wrong? Why do you sound worried?”

“I asked if you perhaps had a fight.”

“Mum!” Tracy frowned. “Just tell me why you called, Lucas and I are peaceful.”

“If you guys are living in peace, then why did he suddenly come to the mansion and inquire about Todd?”

“Wait- What!?” Grabbing the phone from the maid, Tracy sprang to her feet.

She hurried to a corner and lowered her voice. “Did you mean Lucas came and asked about Todd? Why? What happened?”

“I’m as confused as you are.” Mrs. Carlson’s voice was fearful. “He said something about RoseHills Hotel then spoke about Todd’s connection with your Dad. He even left without saying goodbye as if we have offended him in some way.”

Tracy swallowed a huge gulp of saliva, feeling sweats pouring down her forehead.

Fanning herself with one hand, she paced back and forth.

“I just hope he hasn’t discovered our family’s secret. It can affect your relationship-”

“Damnit! Mum! Didn’t you and Dad hide that scandal well? How can he find out?”

“Maybe someone dug it out. That’s why I asked if you had a fight with Lucas.”

“No, no. We don’t know Lucas’s real intentions. I can’t think of anyone who will let that secret out. Todd isn’t a fool to spill it.”
