Chapter 1346 First Time As A Family Member
Ichika’s father finally agreed.
“Sure, no problem.”
“What do you mean ‘no problem’? You have to explain this to the media and everyone else watching. My brother is not here to take your daughter away. He is here to bring his wife home.”
Sabrina was not going to let that d*mned old guy get away with it.
She wanted to force him to explain the matter clearly to everyone and clear Solomon’s name.
Meanwhile, Solomon remained silent.
Though Sabrina was only slightly older than him, he still felt like something was caught in his throat. In fact, he was so choked up that his eyes started to well up with tears.
At that moment, he honestly felt like she was quite a busybody.
He was not a child after all, and he could have easily stood up for himself.
Despite that, he did not stop her. This was because her actions made him feel very touched.
The blow he had just received earlier felt like it had been treated by a pair of gentle hands.
Ichika’s father ultimately told everyone that Yamada was the one who matchmade Solomon. Eventually, Yamada was brought over as well.
Upon arrival, he said nothing but just grabbed onto Solomon’s hand.
“You’ve been wronged…”
One sentence was enough to wipe clean all the injustice that was brought upon Solomon for no reason.
In response, he shook his head lightly. “It’s okay. From now on, do you want to come live with me?”
While looking at the two who were slyly planning on escaping, he suddenly posed such a question.
After such a huge ordeal, there was no way his two sons were going to let this go.
Hence, it was best if they just all lived together.
However, Yamada shook his head.
“I’m old. I don’t want to go anywhere. To be honest, I just want to stay in the peony garden that your mother and I lived in before. In the future, if you ever get married to Ichika, I hope you’ll be able to visit me once in a while.”
He lowered his eyes and revealed a tired expression. One could tell that time had taken its toll on him.
Hearing this, Solomon did not answer.
He truly hated his mother. Her sins were endless, yet she managed to win the sincerity of a man’s heart. Even after her death, he never forgot her.
What about Solomon? She brought him into this world, but what had he ended up with?
Two hours later, Solomon brought his gifts and officially went over to visit the Minamoto family. Naturally, Sabrina went with him.
“Hold on. What are you planning on giving to them? Money or an actual gift?”
Throughout the journey, she kept asking all sorts of questions.
This was probably the first time she was taking part in planning a wedding as a family member. Therefore, she was a little nervous due to the lack of experience.
Solomon cocked his head sideways in the car and stared at her.
“Don’t worry. I’ve got everything prepared.”
“Are you sure? Okay. Well, that’s good to hear.” Hearing this, she finally breathed a sigh of relief. Then, she took out her phone and started tapping away frantically at her screen.
Solomon kept quiet.
After a while, he could not resist anymore. He slightly leaned his head over and took a glance from the side.
He saw that Sabrina was engrossed in a WhatsApp group chat. The chat was going off nonstop.
Sasha: Wow. So, how is it going? Is everything settled, Sab? You’re so cool.
Sabrina: Duh. Don’t you know who I am?
Devin: That’s right. My wife is capable of anything.
Sasha and Sebastian were left speechless.
The discomfort they felt almost made them leave the group chat.
Fortunately, Rufus appeared just at this moment.
Mr. Wand: So what are you guys going to do now? Are you visiting the Minamoto residence?
Sabrina: Yeah. I don’t suppose you have any advice, Mr. Wand? I want to make sure I do everything right. This is my first time appearing as a family member, so I’m quite nervous.
It was surprising for her to admit to everyone that she was feeling anxious right now.
However, it was the truth. Neither Sasha nor Sebastian had any experience in the matter. Besides, Sebastian himself had yet to host his own wedding, so how would he know anything?
Eventually, Rufus gave some suggestions.
Mr. Wand: You can ask Solomon to ask his adoptive father. He’s from Jetroina, right? Just ask and see what you should prepare. Although this matter has finally come to fruition, we were the ones who had initially stood them up. Hence, we should probably apologize.
Oh yeah. We need to apologize…
Sabrina raised her head after reading the message.
Coincidentally, she met the eyes of Solomon, who was also staring in her direction. Awkwardness filled the air.
Solomon was stumped.
Several seconds later, he somewhat angrily turned his gaze elsewhere.
“Are you guys crazy? I can’t believe you guys created a group chat just to talk about me.”
“What else could we have done? You rascal. You never told us when you got in trouble. If I hadn’t made this group for everyone to secretly observe you, would anyone have known that you were getting bullied?”
“Bullied?”
Hearing this, Solomon was furious.
His handsome face was tinted with a shade of anger.
Sabrina gave no reply.
I shouldn’t have said that.
Unfortunately, she realized it too late. She did not care anymore and tapped away at her phone for a moment. Soon, Solomon, who was sitting beside her, heard his phone notification ring.
He then took out his phone.
“Hurry up and open it. We should all discuss what to do for you. This is a huge matter.”
Solomon stared at his phone in disbelief.
In the end, he had no choice but to reluctantly accept.
