66- Showing affection in public
True to his word Hunter took a cottage visit with her. It was all brick and stone combined to form a friendly and English-styled cottage. It had three bedrooms, a living area, a dining and an updated kitchen. It also had two full bathrooms and one-half bathroom.
The Master bedroom was occupied by them which opened to an outdoor sitting area with an oval swimming pool and a vast garden. All of it was facing the beach.
It also had an upper floor which was not functional. Holding her hand Hunter brought her outside the cottage to show her the Resort planning.
“Can you see that building?” he pointed towards a building. When she nodded her head. It would be an eighty rooms hotel building. A little economical as compared to these cottages.
“And how many cottages you have here?”
“I haven’t got any cottages. It’s us!” pinching her nose playfully he smiled. ” We have eleven cottages here. More or less same.”
They went towards the building holding each other’s hands. The interior was somewhat the same as it was in San Francisco. There was a reception but not many people could be seen.
“The building would be fully functional after around one year. Till then just three floors are open for guests’ stay. There is a spa on the ground floor but later, It would be shifted to the entire first floor.”
“And the mezzanine floor? Has it got its usual shops?” She asked him looking around.
“Come. See for yourself.” They entered the lift and reached the Mezzanine floor. The moment Abigail entered the floor she was awed. This was a different world.
Most of the amenities were there which include a private cinema, Cigar room, kids’ playroom, billiard room, wine cellars.
“This is beautiful Hunter.” she was truly impressed.
“You like it?” he asked her proudly.
“Very much.” She smiled and then lifting on her toes kissed his cheek. When he raised a brow, she shrugged and started looking around.
If they could not have something intimate then she could at least show some affection to her husband in private or in public as he had been doing since she met him.
“Here, no one is around. You can do it on my lips too. It won’t hurt.” There was mischief in his voice which turned her face beet red. Her only reply was a pinch on his hard abs.
“Ouch! Abi!” he complained but she had already turned around to enter the elevator. They visited the outdoor pools and vast gardens after that. The gardens reminded Abigail of her innocent picnic with Hunter. A smile spread on her lips.
“Do you remember that picnic? We should do that again once we go back home.” He said while holding her hand, looking at her wedding band and engagement ring. The diamond was as usual turned near her palm which he placed back by rotating it a little and kissed her hand.
“This place is so… Surreal!” She said while taking deep breaths.
On a wild impulse, tying her arms around his waist she leaned her cheek on his chest. Hunter was a little taken aback by the gesture.
It was very rare of her to show affection like this. The place did some wonders to her and her mood. Taking her in his arms he leaned his cheek on her head.
My wife!
He thought smiling to himself and brushed his nose against her head.
“You used a different shampoo today!” he commented.
“What?” she looked up with a little frown on her face. Damn! She looks cute when she does that. Leaning forward he kissed her.
“The shampoo! Your hair used to smell like pears and honey. Today it smells of coconut.” He said while lifting a lock from her face and sniffing it. “But I like this one too.”
She stood on her toes and sniffed his face. “Just like you applied a different aftershave today?” she smiled and he roared with laughter.
“Seems like, lately, we have been getting a whiff of each other a lot.” He remarked and leaned forward again to kiss her.
“Let’s go to the cottage. It’s getting dark.”
