Chapter 128 Slowly Becoming More Obvious
Neither of the two even felt that it was abnormal not to talk.
Matthew had many things that he could not say, while Stella didn’t know what to say. As for Miles, he was watching these two people with cold eyes, and he knew that Matthew had arrived with ulterior motives. Thus, he sat on the sofa and asked Matthew what was wrong, since the two of them were good friends after all.
Matthew said that he was here to help Jane beg Miles for help about Yvonne’s matter. After all, Jane and Yvonne were related, and even though they had not been in contact for a long time, it did not diminish their bond. It was Jane’s mother who told Jane to come and look for Matthew because they were both good friends.
After a long time, Stella still had not come down from upstairs. Miles sat on the sofa with his legs folded and smoked away, as if what Matthew said had nothing to do with him. No matter what Matthew said, Miles did not agree, which caused the former to be a little anxious.

“Are you really not going to help Matthew?” Stella asked.
“You think I’m hard-hearted too?” Miles was angry because of this. After all, Matthew came to plead for Yvonne, so should Stella not ask about ‘helping Yvonne’ instead of ‘helping Matthew’?
The last time Yvonne came to beg him, he had also refused. At that time, Stella did not say anything, but this time she was complaining about it.
Stella said nothing but sat on the sofa in silence. She did not think that Miles was in the wrong because Yvonne should get her punishment for attempting murder. But what about Zane? “It’s no surprise that this matter is caused by Yulia, and her target is you. As long as you do not come forward, nothing will happen. It’s just 1.2 million, and I’ll compensate for it. Therefore, this matter will not become a big deal, but if you get involved, it will not be so simple.” Matthew spoke very calmly.
Stella also nodded and thought that his plan was reasonable.
“I should go.” Matthew settled the bill and prepared to leave. Just now, while sitting in the office, he felt distracted, so he came out for a cup of coffee.
Stella walked out with him and said, “Mr. Xenon, I’ve thought about it. I think that I should pay the 1.2 million. After all, she’s after me, so I’ll feel bad if you pay the sum.”
Matthew smiled bitterly at that.
As Stella did not know what he was smiling about, she was a little distracted.
At first, she was looking at the red light and noticed that there were still five seconds. She thought this would be enough time to cross the road. But her arm was suddenly grabbed by Matthew. “Are you even looking at the road? Do you not see a big truck over there?” Matthew chided.
At this moment, the big truck rushed past them. After all, there were always many cars that did comply with the traffic rules. Stella also felt scared and allowed Matthew to cross the road with him grasping her arm. When she got there, she lowered her head in guilt. “Mr. Xenon, I’m sorry.”
“No. Between a man and a woman, only a third party needs to be sorry. Relax.” As Matthew and Stella stood face to face, they finally said words that only the other could understand. Stella still kept her head down; the reason why Matthew and Stella ignored each other was that she was afraid to face this guilt. Then, Matthew looked down at Stella, whose head hung low. Next, he suddenly smiled for a moment, as if he had let go of everything.
In the end, Stella did not go to Matthew’s company because they had solved this problem, but she still felt guilty because she had given him a lot of trouble.

The lawsuit against Amon was just a gimmick; she had predicted that under the heavy pressure, Stella would not be able to control her guilt and would come to Matthew. In fact, the lawsuit was just the start, and the real purpose was to film Stella and Matthew getting along. Now, she had achieved it.
In the video, Stella bowed her head and looked demure, while Matthew took her arm and smiled.

Stella was just about to leave when she received a call from the Murdough store, saying that there was an emergency in Murdough and asked her to go there.
