An Understated Dominance Chapter 2425 by Marina Vittori

The battle between the Hall of Gods and Sacred Wrym Summit raged with unrelenting intensity.

The Hall of Gods had made meticulous preparations for this invasion. Besides recruiting powerful martial artists from around the world, they also distributed valuable enhanced serums to everyone.

To counter Sacred Wrym Summit’s Stormcraft technique, they developed a special combat suit capable of resisting such attacks.

Generally, a divine martial artist struck by Stormcraft would instantly lose their combat ability, but this special suit reduced the effectiveness of the attack by half. Even if struck, they could recover after a brief moment to continue fighting. The defensive capabilities of this gear were nearly flawless.

In addition, their greatest strength was the sheer weight of their numbers.

They had at least ten thousand people, including hired outlaws, under their command. During the siege, they were densely packed like a swarm of bees.

In contrast, Sacred Wrym Summit had only about a hundred people. Though each of them was highly skilled, they were still outnumbered, and as the battle raged on, they began to fall behind.

Fortunately, the disciples of Sacred Wrym Summit fought with seamless coordination. Their formation allowed them to hold their ground for a time. However, if their stamina were exhausted, the consequences would be disastrous.

“Mr. Bailey, we’ve taken over nearly every outpost on Sacred Wrym Summit. The main hall is the only area where some of them are still putting up a fight. But from the looks of it, they won’t hold out much longer.” A god- level expert dressed in black leaped onto the roof and delivered his report.

“What about Hank?” Bailey asked with an impassive expression. “How’s the progress on his end?”

The plan was to attack from multiple fronts. One group would infiltrate the Forbidden Ground, another would surround and kill the Sacred Wrym Summit experts, and the strongest group would ambush Arion. He aimed to achieve the maximum result in the shortest time possible.

“We haven’t heard from Mr. Styles yet, but he’s well-prepared with contingency plans. I’m sure everything is going smoothly,” the god-level expert dressed in black replied.

“This mission must not fail. Send two scouts to check and report back immediately if anything goes wrong,” Bailey commanded.

“Yes, sir,” the god-level expert responded and gestured to two men, who immediately rushed toward the Forbidden Ground.

At that moment, a blood-red figure materialized beside Bailey-it was Blood Devil Willem. “Bailey, we’ve already brought the fight to their door. Why hasn’t that old geezer made a move? Did he chicken out and run away?”

Bailey narrowed his eyes. “The so- called number one of Dragonmarsh wouldn’t be a coward. Let’s wait and see what happens.”

The most daunting task in this mission was taking down Arion. For years, he had dominated the martial world of Dragonmarsh and was regarded as a godlike existence. Clearly, such a title wasn’t given lightly.

With Sacred Wrym Summit in danger, there was no way Arion would simply run without putting up a fight.

“I say we need more bloodshed. Once we wipe out Sacred Wrym Summit, I’ll bet that old geezer will crawl out of hiding.” Willem grinned maliciously.

As his words fell, a distant, chilling voice suddenly echoed from above. ” Who dares speak of destroying the Sacred Wrym Summit?”

It wasn’t loud but rang with an undeniable authority like thunderclaps. Everyone within a hundred-yard radius felt a crushing weight, as though a mountain pressed down on their shoulders, making it hard to breathe.

“Hmm?”

Bailey and Willem both turned their heads in unison.

A figure stood atop a tree not far behind them-a plump man with a round belly stood with his hands behind his back. He had a head full of silver hair and wore a simple, loose robe. His face looked warm and harmless, but the immense pressure emanating from him was terrifying.

Without a doubt, the seemingly friendly man before them was the target they had come to kill-Arion Foyer.

In an instant, Bailey’s and Willem’s muscles tensed, assuming a combat stance. A flicker of surprise crossed their faces. After waiting so long, they hadn’t expected Arion to appear behind them silently.

As soon as Arion revealed his presence, multiple figures quickly emerged around him.

The Sword Sage of Kimboku, Anthony; the three top assassins of Eskus- Vanzan, Noir, and Shyvan; Batuul, the Fist Sage of Alabastria; and several gods from the Hall of Gods. Including Bailey and Willem, there were more than ten powerful figures.

Together, they surrounded Arion and cut off his escape route.

“Old geezer, I didn’t expect you to dare to show up. Do you not fear death?” Willem sneered with a wicked grin.

Arion stood atop the tree and looked down with a detached gaze as if observing an insignificant insect. ” Were you the one aiming to wipe out the Sacred Wrym Summit earlier?”

“Yes, it’s me. What about it?” Willem showed no fear. “Not only am I going to destroy Sacred Wrym Summit, but I’m going to kill you too.”

“Bold words.” Arion suddenly smiled and gave him a thumbs-up. “I haven’t fought in years, but I suppose you’ll do for a warm-up.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, he vanished. When he reappeared, he was directly in front of Willem.

He raised his hand and slapped Willem across the face. The sound of the impact echoed like a thunderclap.

Before Willem could register the strike, his body was launched like a missile, hurtling over 100 feet through the air. He crashed through several large trees before slamming heavily into the ground.

Half of his face had caved in, and his features twisted beyond recognition, with blood pouring from his shattered nose and mouth. The sight was brutal and horrifying.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
