An Understated Dominance Chapter 2422 by Marina Vittori

With a longsword in hand, Dustin plunged into the crowd like a tiger among sheep and cut down his enemies with brutal efficiency.

Though he couldn’t tap into his mystical energy, his physical strength far outstripped that of an average martial artist. His speed, power, reflexes, and combat skills crushed anyone in his path.

Every swing of his blade was precise and targeted the enemy’s vital spots with deadly accuracy, which left no room for defense.

Under his relentless assault, the assassins were helpless. The air rang with their screams as bodies fell one after another.

Unlike the tournament match, Dustin now unleashed his full power in this life -or-death fight. His attacks were becoming more brutal and relentless than ever.

“This kid’s tougher than I thought.”

Hank frowned as he watched his men struggle.

He hadn’t expected Dustin to have such formidable combat prowess, even with his sealed cultivation. If an unmatched genius like Dustin couldn’t be made an ally, he had to be eliminated before he became a bigger threat.

“Attack together! Kill him at all costs!” Hank barked to the six who had activated the sealing formation.

These six men weren’t just any fighters. They were genetically enhanced operatives from the Hall of Gods-emotionless, immune to pain, and utterly indifferent to death. With unshakable loyalty, they followed orders without question. They were the perfect killing machines.

Bailey had sent them to him to deal with the Sacred Wyrm Summit elites.

But now, Hank had no choice but to use them against Dustin.

“Kill him!”

Without hesitation, the six men in black drew their blades and charged at Dustin. They moved so fast that the surrounding martial artists could barely follow.

They only saw fleeting black shadows darting past, followed by razor-sharp blade auras that dazzled their eyes with blinding light.

Although the sealing formation had nullified the cultivation abilities within a 330-foot radius, these six men in black could ignore that limitation. In other words, their combat strength not only remained intact but was even amplified. This was the terrifying power of the formation.

As expected, the tide changed when they joined the fight. What had been a one-sided massacre by Dustin became a fierce struggle, with the six men managing to hold him back. Neither side gained the upper hand as the fight continued.

If Dustin’s cultivation hadn’t been sealed, dealing with these six would have been child’s play. Since he couldn’t channel his mystical pure energy, he had to rely solely on his physical strength. This made things difficult, as his capabilities fell short compared to those of his opponents.

But now he had to face the six men in black while also staying on guard against potential ambushes from the surrounding martial artists, which added another layer of complexity to an already precarious situation.

“Hmph! Let’s see how long you can last! “Seeing the situation was already under control, Hank couldn’t help but curl his lips into a cold, mocking smile.

He admitted that Dustin was strong, but going against the Hall of Gods was sheer folly. With so many subordinates at his command, a basic swarm tactic would be enough to wear down Dustin, and victory was only a matter of time.

“Time to die, Rhys!”

At that moment, Garrett, who had been lying in wait among the crowd, finally made his move. He had harbored a long -standing grudge against Dustin but had to maintain a facade of respect before due to Dustin’s formidable strength.

Now that Dustin had betrayed the Hall of Gods and was surrounded by top elites, this was Garrett’s chance for revenge.

When Dustin exposed a weakness, Garrett wasted no time and lunged forward with his blade aimed at Dustin’s back. But just before it struck, a hand, hard like iron, shot out and caught his weapon mid-thrust.

“Huh?” Garrett suddenly turned his head and met Willard’s indifferent gaze.

“Willard! What the hell are you doing?” Garrett’s eyes flared with fury as he let out an angry roar.

He had finally spotted an opening to vent his pent-up frustration. But just as he was about to strike, his teammate stepped in the way and blocked his attack. Naturally, this made him even more irate.

“I’m not doing anything. I just don’t like what you’re doing,” Willard said casually.

“Are you out of your mind? We’re both working for the Hall of Gods. Are you seriously thinking of betraying us?”

Garrett spat and glared at him.

“You’re right. I am betraying them,”

Willard admitted without hesitation.

“Bastard, I’ll kill you first!”

Garrett twisted his blade to break free of Willard’s grip. Then, he swept it toward Willard’s neck in a deadly slash.

Willard took two steps back and effortlessly sidestepped the horizontal attack. He casually lifted his flask and took a sip. His nonchalant demeanor made it seem like Garrett wasn’t even worth his attention.

“Go to hell!” Consumed by rage, Garrett swung his long blade in a flurry of relentless strikes, each aimed squarely at Willard.

But as Willard took another swig of wine, his eyes flashed with sudden intensity. A powerful, commanding presence radiated from him.

As Garrett’s blade came slashing down, Willard advanced instead of retreating. His palm struck the weapon with a resounding clang.

Garrett’s blade was knocked aside, and the immense force numbed his arm to the point where he almost lost his grip. Before he could react, Willard struck again. With blinding speed, his palm slammed into Garrett’s chest with explosive force. 2

Garrett’s entire body was flung back over ten yards and crashed heavily to the ground. Blood sprayed from his

mouth and nose, and he couldn’t even get up.

“You… How are you able to use internal energy?” He clutched his chest, his voice a mix of shock and fury.

Aside from the six men in black, everyone else in the area had their cultivation sealed, so no one should have been able to use internal energy.

Yet, Willard’s palm strike had carried the unmistakable power of a grandmaster’s internal energy. Garrett couldn’t understand how Willard had bypassed the formation’s restrictions..

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
