An Understated Dominance Chapter 2348 by Marina Vittori

George roared like thunder. His blade- like arms gleamed coldly and sliced through Abigail’s body with lightning speed. The speed of his momentum sent him skidding for about 25 feet before he finally came to a halt.

“This is what happens when you piss me off, bitch!” He turned and laughed maniacally with a fierce expression. He believed that strength mattered and not the useless poisonous mist or creature.

“Hey, what are you laughing at?” A clear, crisp voice rang out from the front.

George looked toward the voice and was surprised to see Abigail. She casually turned with a smirk as if she were looking at a fool.

“Hmm?” His smile faltered and was replaced by shock.

What happened? Hadn’t his blade already sliced through her neck? Why was there no sign of injury?

Could he have missed it? That seemed impossible. His blade was as fast as lightning, and she hadn’t even moved. How could he have missed? What on earth had happened?

“I’m not stopping until you’re dead!” George was frustrated and didn’t want to dwell on it, so he resolved to keep attacking.

If one strike weren’t enough, he would try two. If two weren’t enough, he would go for ten, a hundred, or even a thousand. No matter what, he was determined to make Abigail pay for her actions.

With a flash of his blade arms, he moved like a blur and charged forward again. His body was tough and had an astonishing recovery rate.

As long as he wasn’t dead, he would keep fighting. He was ready to do whatever it took, even if it meant outlasting his enemy.

“You’re digging your own grave.” Abigail looked at the approaching figure but didn’t flinch or dodge. She waved her hand, and three black iron balls shot out as they headed straight for George’s face. These were the Dawson Clan’s hidden weapons, Phantom Blooms.

After learning from his previous encounters, he dared not strike them. Instead, he twisted his body and dodged. But as they crossed paths, the Phantom Blooms exploded.

A storm of poisoned needles rained down and turned George into a human pincushion. His entire body was covered in needles.

Taking three Phantom Blooms without any defense would likely be fatal for an ordinary grandmaster, but George was different. With his tough, resilient body, he could withstand the attack.

Though the needles weren’t deadly, they were incredibly painful. With his flesh already rotting from the previous poison, the new assault was like rubbing salt in his wounds.

“Argh!” George screamed again. His face contorted with agony.

He had never felt so helpless before. Every time he tried to strike, Abigail interrupted him with one nasty trick after another. First, it was the venomous snake, then the toxic mist, and now a barrage of poisoned needles.

What frustrated him most was how his once-impenetrable defenses had proven useless against these attacks. His defenses were breached, and he was poisoned as if these assaults were tailor-made to counter him.

His strong vitality kept him fighting despite the relentless attacks, but it also meant he was enduring pain that would be unbearable for ordinary humans.

“I’ll kill you! I swear I will!” George roared like a madman.

At that moment, he didn’t even bother to remove the poisoned needles from his body. Driven mad with rage, he charged at Abigail with reckless abandon.

He figured since he wasn’t going to die, he might as well fight with everything he had. He could endure countless blows, but if he could just find a single opening, he would rip Abigail to shreds. At least, that was what he believed.

“Surviving all this poison and still standing? Guess being big really makes you tough,” Abigail remarked with a hint of surprise.

“Go to hell!” George closed in on Abigail. With a swift motion, he swung the blade on his right arm toward her neck with blinding speed.

She curled her lips into a sneer. Instead of dodging, she extended her delicate hand and firmly caught his descending blade.

The blade met her palm with a sharp, metallic sound and stopped dead in its tracks.

“What!” George’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Abigail, who had caught his blade with her bare hand. His face was a mask of shock.

His blade was razor-sharp and capable of slicing through steel. With his full force behind it, he could cut through a tank. Yet, such a fierce strike couldn’t even scratch her skin.

It was inconceivable. Was she even human?

“Is that all you’ve got?” Abigail sneered. “It’s not that impressive.”

“You… you…” George looked terrified. His lips trembled, and he couldn’t form coherent words.

He thought getting close would make it easy to deal with her. But he hadn’t expected her strength and defense to be even greater than his. It was impossible to catch her off guard with his blade when she could catch it with her bare hands.

Even with such incredible strength, she had chosen to use poison. He felt like she was mocking him.

“What’s the matter? It’s my turn now,” Abigail said. She raised her hand and delivered a powerful punch to George’s abdomen.

The impact was thunderous. His burly frame shot like a missile and soared dozens of feet high. While still airborne, blood gushed from his mouth and nose as it scattered crimson droplets.

Before he descended, she was already on the move again.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
