An Understated Dominance Chapter 2341 by Marina Vittori

“It’s rare to see a fight like this. No swordplay, no divine powers, just pure fistfighting.”

“Now, this is what I call action. A real man goes all in, throwing punch after punch.”

“If they’re going at it this hard just in the warm-up, imagine how intense it will get if the fight gets serious.”

The spectators buzzed with excitement as they watched the fierce battle in the battle ring. They had anticipated a clash of sword techniques and divine powers. Instead, they were witnessing an intense, all-out fistfight.

Jaxton had set aside his sword to engage with his fists, while Fenley had put his divine powers aside for a straightforward brawl. It looked like the match was determined to settle things through pure skill in hand-to- hand combat.

Fenley and Jaxton continued their fierce exchange of punches in the battle ring.

Jaxton’s attacks grew more aggressive as his internal energy surged with each strike. Each punch carried the force to split mountains. Soon, his breathing became heavy and labored.

In contrast, Fenley focused on defense and counterattacks. His moves were precise and effortless, and he maintained a calm demeanor.

“At this rate, you’ll exhaust all your internal energy. If I were you, I’d start using your ultimate moves now,” Fenley said, launching a strike.

“Quit yapping!” Jaxton grunted, and his punches became faster. The surrounding wind roared as if it were about to tear the sky apart.

“If you don’t know when to quit, don’t blame me for what happens next!”

Fenley’s expression turned cold, and he looked impatient.

He was eager to see the Esoteric Sword Guild’s Sword Mastery Technique. That was why he had been sparring with Jaxton until now.

But it seemed Jaxton had no intention of drawing his sword. Did he really think he could defeat Fenley with just punches and kicks? If so, Fenley was ready to teach him a lesson.

“Instant Triumph!” Fenley shouted. His fists turned into a powerful palm strike.

In an instant, his palms blazed with intense red light. The heat made the surrounding air feel thick and sticky. Even Jaxton’s punches slowed down slightly under Fenlèy’s overwhelming energy pressure.

“Hmm?” Jaxton frowned and sensed danger. He crossed his arms before his chest and channeled his internal energy into a protective shield.

Fenley’s palms slammed into Jaxton’s crossed arms with tremendous force. The impact shattered Jaxton’s shield. He was sent flying several yards away.

When he landed, he stumbled backward a few steps before managing to steady himself. His arms felt numb and unusually heavy.

“That’s some powerful punch technique!” Jaxton glanced at his trembling arms with surprise.

As the chief senior disciple of the Esoteric Sword Guild, he was proficient in Sword Mastery Technique and confident in his raw strength. In his mind, most opponents didn’t even deserve the use of his sword.

He believed punches and kicks were more than enough to defeat them. That approach had worked perfectly in the past and allowed him to win effortlessly.

But this time, his opponent was Fenley, ranked fifth on the Legendary List. Jaxton knew relying solely on his hand- to-hand combat wasn’t enough.

After exchanging hundreds of blows, he noticed he was at a disadvantage. It was clear neither of them had gone all out yet, but Jaxton had to admit that Fenley was a worthy opponent.

“Still want to keep going? You can’t match me without using your Sword Mastery Technique,” Fenley said calmly.

After sparring for so long, he awaited Jaxton to unleash the Sword Mastery Technique. If Jaxton was holding back, Fenley figured he was ready to get serious.

“I thought the martial artists on the Legendary List were all hype, but it looks like you’ve got real skill.” Jaxton straightened with a fierce gaze and a commanding presence. His hair and robes seemed to stir with an energy of their own.

As he spoke, the giant sword behind him began to hum faintly and vibrate with a subtle energy.

“Oh? Finally going to draw your sword?

“Fenley asked with a smirk, clearly intrigued.

“After warming up, it’s time to show you the Sword Mastery Technique.” Jaxton raised one hand and pointed to the sky. “Come forth!”

The giant sword flew out of its sheath and hovered above his head. It was six feet long, five inches wide, and pure white with intricate red runes that seemed to pulse with life.

“My sword is eager for battle from the moment it’s drawn. Prepare to be the sacrifice for my Snow Breeze Sword!” Then, he pointed the sword forward.

The giant sword shot out as a streak of white light, racing towards Fenley with incredible speed. It moved so fast that it was barely a blur.

“So fast.” Fenley’s eyes narrowed. He instinctively crossed his arms and channeled his internal energy to form a shield.

The white light struck the internal energy shield with explosive force and sent ripples through it. He was pushed back a few steps as the shield cracked with a spider web of fractures.

It was almost breached, and Fenley could feel the danger close to breaking through. The sheer power of the strike was unmistakable.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
