“Oh my God! He took the grandmaster’s attack head-on without a scratch! This is unbelievable.”
The Celestial Alliance disciples were in awe and disbelief after witnessing Dustin block the attack like it was nothing.
After all, Brian couldn’t even defeat Shadowcloak. So, when the alliance’s disciples saw Dustin step forward, they didn’t hold much hope at first.
Some even thought he was walking into a death trap. But they never anticipated that Dustin had such profound cultivation.
“Faith, could it be that Dr. Rhys is a grandmaster?” Alicia was also surprised by Dustin’s skills. Although Grace had mentioned it before, she still had doubts.
After all, possessing extraordinary medical skills was already quite rare. Many doctors spend their careers without achieving half of Dustin’s expertise.
What truly distinguished Dustin was he was knowledgeable in both medical skills and martial arts. Alicia had never encountered a dual-skilled genius before.
“A grandmaster?” Grace smiled faintly. She neither confirmed nor denied it. ” You could say that.”
Dustin was more than just a grandmaster martial artist. He was a once-in-a-millenium genius, topping the Legendary List and standing at the pinnacle of the martial world.
His cultivation had long surpassed the level of grandmaster, so he wouldn’t need to break a sweat to deal with someone so insignificant.
“A skilled doctor and a grandmaster? Just who is Dr. Rhys?” Aurora was surprised and confused by the revelation.
She had heard of almost every young talent in the martial world, yet Dustin’s name didn’t ring a bell.
A genius with such prowess in medical skills and martial arts would normally be widely renowned. So, his sudden appearance struck her as odd.
Aurora surmised that Dustin was either a hidden master uninterested in fame or deliberately concealed his identity.
“Kid! Who are you? State your name!” Shadowcloak’s face darkened since he was facing a formidable enemy.
He had initially underestimated Dustin. However, after witnessing his strength firsthand, Shadowcloak realized that the unassuming young man was even more powerful than Brian.
“It doesn’t matter who I am,” Dustin said casually. “What matters is, who sent you?”
“Hmph! Trying to trick me into answering your question? Dream on!” Shadowcloak scowled. “I don’t care who you are or where you come from. Be smart and get lost now. Otherwise, you’ll get a taste of my ruthlessness.”
“Are you seriously trying to play tough at this point?” Dustin sneered.
“Don’t get too cocky, kid. I only used about ten percent of my strength earlier. That’s why you got away with it. Once I go all out, you’ll be dead.” Shadowcloak shouted.
As he spoke, his entire demeanor became more imposing. The wind howled around him, and an oppressive force erupted and enveloped everyone present. They felt their bodies weigh down as if an invisible force pressed on their shoulders.
“Kid, can you feel that? That’s the power of a grandmaster. Once I go all out, you’ll be squashed like a bug.” Shadowcloak’s fury flared. His cloak billowed in the wind, and he looked intimidating.
“I didn’t expect that elderly man was hiding such strength. It looks like Dr. Rhys is in trouble.” Alicia’s expression darkened at the sight.
Though Dustin was a grandmaster, she felt he was still young and lacked experience. When facing the tougher grandmasters, he could be at a disadvantage.
She could tell Shadowcloak, with his menacing presence, was clearly no ordinary grandmaster.
“Let me call the reinforcement. We can’t let Dr. Rhys risk his life for us,” Aurora said as she pulled out her phone to make the call.
“You don’t have to,” Grace said with a faint smile. “That elderly man might seem tough, but he’s not as skilled as he appears. Once he made a move, Dr. Rhys would easily deal with him.
“That’s impossible.” Aurora frowned and eyed Shadowcloak. “His energy waves are as strong as the alliance’s elders. What makes you think he isn’t that skilled?”
“Energy waves can be manipulated,” Grace said with a smile.
She explained, “There’s a secret technique that allows the practitioners to hide and manipulate their energy waves. Although it doesn’t boost one’s strength, this skill can certainly intimidate others.”
“So, you’re saying… that man is just a fraud?” Aurora quickly caught on.
“Yes.” Grace nodded. “If he was truly a skilled martial artist, why waste time talking? Don’t forget that he’s an assassin. If he’s confident in taking out his target, why did he hesitate until now?”
“You’ve got a point,” Aurora agreed with a nod.
Assassins were known for their dishonorable tactics and disregard for rules. They would resort to any means to kill their target.
However, she noticed that Shadowcloak’s actions were suspicious. Despite his constant chatter upon showing up, he didn’t make any moves. When he eventually attacked, Dustin effortlessly knocked him back.
“Hold on! If that man didn’t have the strength, how do you explain his agility?” Alicia chimed in.
Grace smiled and said, “Dr. Rhys had just explained it earlier. Despite the man’s cultivation, he had spent decades honing his agility.
