An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1305
“What? Dined with the Emperor?” Harper was stunned before bursting out into mocking laughter.
“Hey, bumpkin, are you alright in the head? You? Dined with the Emperor? Are you even worthy? Even Cody is not qualified to dine with the Emperor. What makes you think you can?” A plainly dressed bumpkin like him dared claim acquaintance with the Emperor? How outrageous!
“If you don’t believe me, suit yourself.” Dustin shrugged, not bothering to argue. It was pointless to argue with someone so condescending.
“Hmph! I first thought you were ignorant and lacked manners. I didn’t expect you to be so boastful too. I don’t understand why grandpa values you,” Harper sneered as she crossed her arms. As an Oakvale native, she felt a sense of superiority when dealing with country bumpkins.
“We’ve arrived, this is it!” Cody suddenly stopped and pointed toward a piece of linen paper suspended in the air.
The linen paper was of considerable size. Encased in a gold-rimmed glass frame, it was prominently displayed for all to see with a mere upward gaze.
Several lines of calligraphy were inscribed on the paper. The script exhibited bold and vigorous strokes. It was so graceful that it was unmistakably the work of a calligraphy master.
“Cody, is this a poem?” Harper was gazing upwards as she asked curiously. Even though she had little knowledge of calligraphy, she could still appreciate the beauty of it. She found them visually pleasing and awe-inspiring.
“That’s right, it’s a poem,” Cody confirmed with a smile.
“I’m sure you’ve all heard the tales about Regal Court. Nearly a decade ago, the Emperor had visited Regal Court. After indulging in food and wine, he was in such high spirits that he spontaneously composed a poem.
“It is this very poem you see before us that the Emperor composed!”
“Wow! The rumors were true? There’s really a poem personally composed by the Emperor on display here? That’s incredible!”
“Regal Court truly lives up to its name!” The students of Harmony Healers couldn’t take their eyes off the poem. They were extremely excited.
For ordinary people like them, the opportunity to witness the Emperor’s talent was a privilege.
“Hmm… that’s odd. Why are there two names at the end of the poem?” one of them asked.
“You’ve asked the right question.” Cody stood with his hands behind his back. He was ready to demonstrate his knowledge.
“This poem was indeed composed by the Emperor, but the one who transcribed it onto the paper was another prominent figure. Hence, the two names at the end. “Of course, this also shows how much the Emperor favors this person.”
“There are people who can co-sign with the Emperor? That’s absolutely amazing!” The students expressed their amazement.
“To be held in such high regard by the King, they must be nobility, right?”
Harper appeared intrigued.
“Wrong guess, Harper.” Cody grinned and shook his head. “This person is not a noble, but their status is even higher than nobility.”
“Oh? Who is this person then?” Harper’s curiosity deepened.
“It’s none other than the Crown Prince of West Lucozia, the renowned Kirin from a decade ago, Logan Rhys!” Cody declared loudly.
“What? Logan Rhys, the Kirin?” The revelation sent shockwaves through the group. Logan Rhys was a renowned figure. Even though it had been ten years, his past glory remained vividly etched in people’s memories.
A decade ago, their era had been blessed with remarkable talents and prodigies. Yet, Logan Rhys had outshone them all.
Dominating Oakvale with unmatched force, he gained worldwide fame and single-handedly defined the brilliance of that era.
From that point forward, no one could even come close to being compared to Logan Rhys. Whether they were nobles, aristocrats, scions of prominent families, or exceptionally gifted individuals, Logan surpassed them all.
