Chapter 736 Leave the Rest to Me
“Sorry, I didn’t think about it.”
When she heard the man’s solemn apology, Tessa couldn’t help laughing.
She followed Nicholas closely. Thinking of the dangers of smoking, she deliberately looked serious and demanded, “No matter what, you mustn’t smoke in the future.”
Nicholas naturally agreed. His deep and magnetic voice was indescribably indulgent.
“Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
Downstairs, Sebastian watched as the two walked out of the study while holding hands, and he retreated with a gratified smile on his face.
After returning to the room, Tessa pushed Nicholas into the bathroom while urging, “You smell of smoke. Hurry up and go take a shower.”
“Shower with me.” Nicholas pulled Tessa without letting go.
Of course, he didn’t really want Tessa to accompany him. He just wanted to tease her, but Tessa was unaware of that. She thought about it for a few seconds before hesitating. “I’ll accompany you if you promise not to mess around anymore.”
Nicholas laughed and fondly rubbed her loose, black hair. “How can I let you work so hard? Go to bed. Rest and wait for me.”
After speaking, he turned around and went into the bathroom.
Tessa stood on the spot with red cheeks, feeling that Nicholas’ words were rather suggestive.
After a simple shower, the two lay on the bed. They hugged each other and did nothing else since they couldn’t make love.
Under the yellow bedside lamp, Tessa rested her head on Nicholas’ firm chest, and it was quiet and warm at that moment. When she thought about their future and the attitude of Nicholas’ elders, she couldn’t help but worry.
“What are you going to tell your family about the child?” She looked at Nicholas worriedly.
After all, the elders of his family had always disagreed about them being together.
Nicholas lowered his head slightly, and he could see the worry in her eyes. He soothed her by saying, “Don’t worry, I will handle this matter.”
“In that case, what do I need to do?”
Tessa didn’t want Nicholas to bear all the pressure alone and wanted to help shoulder it together.
When he saw her serious expression, Nicholas curved his lips slightly and gently placed a kiss on her forehead.
“You just need to obediently do whatever you like and leave the rest to me.”
He stared at Tessa affectionately.
Tessa looked back, and her heart was as sweet as anything. Even so, she did not forget to remind him, “If you need me to do something, you must tell me.”
Nicholas nodded.
Tessa happily rubbed the man’s chest, then thought of Gregory.
“By the way, Greg still doesn’t know about my pregnancy. If he knows, will he accept…”
She was a little worried, afraid that Gregory would not be able to accept the news.
Nicholas understood what Tessa meant, but since he couldn’t be sure about Gregory, he didn’t give a clear answer.
He thought about it and said, “Since it’s yours, perhaps Greg would be fine with it. After all, he likes you so much.”
“Although that is the case, what if he doesn’t like the baby?”
Tessa felt very uneasy.
“Don’t think too much about it.” Nicholas raised his chin and rubbed Tessa’s forehead, comforting her. He said, “Even if he resists the baby, I believe that with your love for him, it will slowly be resolved. ”
Tessa agreed, then wrapped her arms around Nicholas’ waist and promised, “Even after we have our child, I’d still treat Greg as my own.”
Nicholas looked down at her in his arms and couldn’t help laughing.
You fool! Greg is your own child too.
Unfortunately, Tessa couldn’t hear what he said in his heart. She hugged Nicholas and felt very at ease.
Soon, she leaned on Nicholas unconsciously and fell asleep in a daze.
The man listened to the steady breathing coming from his arms, and when he lowered his head slightly, he could see her sweet, sleeping face. At once, his expression became tender.
The next morning, Tessa woke up to find that Nicholas was no longer around. She didn’t mind it and got up to take a shower.
