“Thank you guys for coming all the way here to listen to my performance,” Tessa said happily.
“It would only be natural for us to be here as we want to see how great your performance will be for Nicholas to stay with you,” Stefania said faintly. In addition, she also wanted to use this opportunity to get to know Tessa as she wondered what charms she had that made Nicholas fall for her.
As they were talking, the sun went down, and it was nighttime. Since Tobias and Stefania had a long day, Tessa was worried that they didn’t have the appetite to eat. “Sure. We are kind of tired too.” Stefania and Tobias didn’t refuse and stood up, getting ready to head upstairs.
At this moment, Gregory held Stefania’s hand happily and said cutely, “I’ll accompany you, Grandma. Can I sleep with you guys later on?”
“Sure,” Stefania replied, as there was no way she would refuse to spend time with Gregory, not to mention that he was asking for it.
Then, they all walked up the stairs to see the room.
To decorate the room, Tessa had spent a lot of time and effort; she even asked Nicholas about their preferences. One could say that she had spent much effort to make them comfortable.
When Stefania entered the room, she could tell that it was well-decorated. So, she looked at Tessa with satisfaction and said, “Thank you for your hard work.”
“It’s fine as long as you guys are comfortable living in it,” Tessa replied with a smile. Then, she left with Nicholas.
When Tessa returned to the main bedroom, she was still smiling, seemingly in a good mood.
When Nicholas noticed it, he pulled her into his embrace and chuckled deeply. Then, he lowered his head and looked at her. “Why are you grinning like a fool?” he asked.
“Who are you calling a fool?” Tessa gave him a playful glare and acted as if she was upset with his words by struggling slightly.
Although Nicholas knew she was not mad and was playing with him, he still cooed her affectionately. “Alright, my bad.” Then, he couldn’t help but kiss her when he looked at her lips.
After having some time with each other for a while, Tessa snuggled into Nicholas’ embrace. Then, she suddenly burst out laughing. “I think that today is a great day,” she said.
Hearing her words, Nicholas raised his eyebrows and lowered his head, looking at her. “Why is that so?” he asked.
Tessa didn’t shun him away and looked at him with bright eyes, saying, “Although Mom and Dad are still acting cold toward me, I can feel that they are starting to accept me.”
Seeing that she was smiling brightly, Nicholas couldn’t help but pinch the tip of her nose affectionately and say, “I told you so. Being someone as wonderful as you, everyone will love you in a matter of time.” His tone was full of adoration and pride as he spoke.
On the other hand, since Kieran’s parents had left, he would be in charge of the company during the day and only went to Remus’ place for dinner at night.
While they were having dinner that day, Remus was not in a good mood. He looked at Kieran and asked, “I heard your parents are going abroad, right?”
