There wasn’t any terrifying force that struck, but rather, with a ripple through the void, Jared and Catalina had surprisingly vanished without a trace.
“Mr. Chance! Mr. Chance!”
Upon seeing the situation, Cloud was immediately thrown into a panic, hastily crying out in alarm.
Cyanna also furrowed her brow, asking, “What’s going on? Could it be that Mr. Chance and the other have been taken into a different dimension?”
“Don’t worry. They can’t leave this place. The restrictions of this tower are such that even using teleportation magecrafts, there’s no way they can get out. They’re still in this tower right now. It’s just that they’re no longer in the same dimension as us! However, they should be able to return soon…” Coall comforted Cyanna.
Upon hearing Coall’s words, Cyanna finally breathed a sigh of relief.
At that moment, Jared and Catalina found themselves transported into another dimension.
However, as they looked around, it was evident that they were still on the fourth floor of the tower. The only difference was that Cloud and the others were nowhere to be found.
Moreover, the floor within the tower was strewn with all sorts of odds and ends, rendering it extremely disordered.
Looking around, Catalina asked in utter confusion, “What’s going on? Why does it seem like this tower has changed? Where is everyone else?”
Jared’s brow furrowed slightly as he said, “There’s a good chance we’ve stepped into a different dimension. Even though we are still within the tower, we’re no longer on the same plane as the others, which is why we can’t see them.”
Amidst the recent tremors in the void, Jared had sensed that they were likely drawn into another dimension.
“What do we do, then? How are we supposed to get back?” Catalina asked with a hint of fear.
Gazing at the scattered items on the ground, Jared said, “It’s all right. As long as we break through this dimension, we can return. Let’s first see if there are any valuable things here. I believe these items must have been left behind by the person who was sealed on this floor before!”
Jared trailed behind Catalina, observing the various items strewn across the ground. Many of them were already damaged, leaving them to wonder if it was the result of deliberate actions
or simply the ravages of time.
At that moment, a flash of golden light suddenly sparkled, and Jared followed in the direction of the golden light.
Accompanied by a golden light, a scroll surprisingly began to unfold slowly in mid-air.
On that scroll, there was surprisingly a vague illusory shadow.
“What is this?” Catalina asked, her face filled with astonishment as she looked at the scroll.
Jared didn’t say a word. Instead, he was fixated on the illusory shadow. He couldn’t help but wonder if that illusory shadow was the predecessor who was sealed. Is this illusory shadow left within the scroll, awaiting its destined beholder?
While Jared was deep in thought, suddenly, the illusory shadow began to gradually alter. Astonishingly, it transformed into a magic sword suspended above the scroll.
It appeared not as if it was merely painted but rather like a genuine, magic sword.
Jared gazed at the magic sword and reached out to touch it. However, with that single touch, the sword began to tremble violently. Following this, an immense suction force started to draw from within Jared, like a tidal wave rushing
toward the sword.
Jared was taken aback, his whole being rapidly retreating. However, the pull from the magic sword persisted, relentlessly draining the. strength from his body.
Upon seeing the situation, Jared hastily drew his Dragonslayer Sword, intending to destroy that scroll.
Surely, he couldn’t let all of his strength get drained away.
However, just as the Dragonslayer Sword was unsheathed, it unexpectedly flew straight into the scroll.
All that could be heard was the resonating hum of the Dragonslayer Sword. Astonishingly, two swords were clashing within that scroll, creating a symphony of rivalry.
As the clash of the two swords echoed, the sudden suction force had also vanished.
Seizing the opportunity, Jared reached out to grab the sword.
This time, Jared held onto the magic sword tightly, his immense spiritual sense enveloping the sword.
He wanted to find out what this magic sword was all about. How could it possibly absorb my power so suddenly?
