Seeing this unfold, Skylar was enveloped in a ripple of black energy. With a low grunt, his form dissipated like a phantom, and he caught up to Jared in the blink of an eye.
A massive hand of swirling black energy shot down toward Jared, but he appeared to anticipate the move.
Just as Skylar’s palm descended, Jared vanished into thin air.
Abel, however, was not as fortunate. He failed to dodge in time and was struck by Skylar’s hand. With a muffled grunt, he spat out blood, crashing to the ground.
“D*mn it…” Skylar cursed under his breath.
As Abel hit the ground, it seemed to invigorate the Demon Annihilation Formation. Countless dazzling spiritual lights surged upward like stars, illuminating the area with a brilliance a thousand times greater than the light emitted by the consumed celestial gem.
Before everyone’s eyes, Abel seemed to shrink rapidly, visibly aging as his aura vanished in an instant.
No one could have anticipated that the Demon Annihilation Formation could absorb the aura of Demon Cultivators, converting it into a resource.
Even Jared had not seen this coming.
The Demonic Cultivators were stunned. They had initially believed that once the grand formation was in place, their only challenge would be to break it. However, the current situation made them fear that getting anywhere near the formation would turn them into fuel for the Demon Annihilation Formation instead.
The scene that unfolded sent a shockwave through everyone present, Jared included.
Intermittent sounds of shattering echoed around them as the ferocious aura of the void
radiated outward.
Almost immediately, a series of closely packed void fractures astonishingly appeared, spreading in all directions.
The pitch-black fractures resembled the gaping maw of a demon beast, its endless suction consuming everything in its path.
As Jared beheld the sudden emergence of these void cracks, he broke into a cold sweat.
This situation had spiraled out of control.
If anyone were to be pulled into the void fractures, there was a real chance they would never return.
The Demonic Cultivators, including Skylar,
stared at the expanding void fractures, their faces paling with fear as chaos erupted around them.
It wasn’t death itself that frightened them; it was the terrifying uncertainty of what lay beyond that sent shivers down their spines.
No one knew what lay behind those numerous void fractures.
As each demonic cultivator was pulled into the void fractures, their screams echoed through the air, some torn apart by the rifts and instantly reduced to mere puddles of flesh and blood.
Despite being Tribulators, some even at the Ultimate Realm, they felt utterly insignificant before the gaping void fractures.
A massive surge of seawater rushed back in, quickly submerging the previously exposed mountain peaks and swiftly concealing the arcane array beneath the encroaching waves..
“Jared, what the hell are you doing? Do you really think you can survive being sucked into the void fractures?” Skylar cursed at him, his rage boiling over.
He believed Jared was so determined to destroy him that he was willing to go down with him. What a psycho!
Jared glanced at the furious Skylar, equally speechless. He hadn’t expected things to escalate like this.
“Stop cursing! Didn’t you see I’m also trying to avoid the void fractures? How was I supposed to know it would turn out like this?” he shouted as he dodged the suction of the rifts.
Skylar was taken aback, surprised that Jared was actually placing blame on him.
While struggling against the pull of the vortex, he sidestepped and shot a glare at Jared. “You’re telling me you don’t know anything about the formation you set up? Once I get out of this mess, just wait and see how I’ll deal with you…”
“We’ll see who outsmarts whom. Just wait and see!” Jared shot back, both of them resorting to verbal sparring while evading the dangers around them.
Neither dared to make a move, their attention. entirely focused on avoiding the menacing void fractures.
Fortunately, both Jared and Skylar managed to evade the rifts, narrowly escaping being sucked into the unknown.
