“You can never judge a book by its cover. Who knows what they’re truly thinking? We should tread carefully,” Viola warned.
She stared at the light curtain before her anxiously, hoping for Jared to appear.
At that moment, Jared was completely engrossed in everything within the Divine Cauldron.
The surroundings were already shrouded in mist. Within the Divine Cauldron, a crystalline pill materialized, encased in a layer of white mist.
“What kind of pill is this?” Jared pulled the pill out from the Divine Cauldron.
After tinkering with it for a while, Jared couldn’t figure out what this pill was, or what it was used for.
“No wonder I didn’t recognize those energies earlier. They were the result of this pill. The fact that it can transform into streams of energy shows that this pill is of no low grade. Could this be the pill crafted by the legendary Medicine God? After the Medicine God’s demise, the pill gradually transformed into a potent energy here,” Vermilion Demon Lord asked.
“I’m not sure, but the energy we just felt was actually the transformation of this pill. If it weren’t for the Divine Cauldron gathering these energies and refining them back into a pill, I would never have imagined that a pill could turn into energy, let alone possess some form of consciousness,” Jared said with a heavy sense of emotion.
He was an accomplished alchemist, highly skilled in medicine, and could even be considered a senior alchemist.
However, he could never have imagined that an inanimate object like a pill could transform into energy and even possess a certain level of consciousness.
Otherwise, those energies wouldn’t have known to evade upon encountering the Divine Cauldron. The fact that they did evade proved they possessed a certain level of consciousness.
Jared tucked away the pill. Since he had no idea what it was or what it could do, he dared not consume it carelessly.
At that moment, Viola’s face had turned an alarming shade of pale.
Sigurd gripped his longsword, ready to strike at any moment as the murderous intent once again filled the air.
“That kid must be dead by now. Let’s not waste any more time. I’ll take care of these two, then we’ll take a detour and get moving.”
Seeing that time was running out and there was still no sign of Jared, Ernesto decided to make his move against Viola and Sigurd.
Viola and Sigurd could feel the murderous intent emanating from behind them, which made them extremely tense. They braced themselves, ready to fight.
However, they were simply too weak. They knew they were no match for these people.
Yet, they couldn’t just sit around waiting for disaster to strike.
As Ernesto was gradually closing in on Viola and Sigurd, suddenly, there was a loud bang.
The light curtain, which hung from the peak, shattered like broken glass, then gradually disintegrated into nothingness.
Everyone was momentarily stunned.
The scene unfolding behind the light curtain was visible to the crowd as well.
Beyond the light curtain, a faint mist lingered. Not far from them stood Jared, with a cauldron placed on the ground in front of him.
The markings on the cauldron were unusual, each radiating an aura of antiquity.
Jared was also startled by the sudden disappearance of the light curtain. He hastily stowed away the Divine Cauldron.
The Divine Cauldron was an ancient divine artifact, a favorite amongst alchemists.
If the alchemists discovered that Jared possessed a treasure like the Divine Cauldron, it would be even more enticing to them than the hundred-year offering from the Demon Seal Alliance.
After all, for these alchemists, the Divine Cauldron was an invaluable treasure.
“President Surrey, did you see that cauldron just now?” Ernesto, who was the closest, asked Thaddeus, his body trembling slightly.
“I did…” Thaddeus’ eyes were wide open in surprise.
“That’s an ancient cauldron, truly the treasure among treasures. I can’t believe he actually has this kind of cauldron in his possession.”
Desire glinted in Vincent’s eyes.
