Jared lowered his gaze, noticing the two strands of energy within the Divine Cauldron. They were constantly writhing and shifting, seemingly attempting to break free from the confinement of the cauldron.
“Kid, what do you think would happen if you channel all these energies into the Divine Cauldron?” Vermilion Demon Lord asked.
Jared scrutinized the two streams of energy within the Divine Cauldron, utterly clueless about the consequences of these energies being trapped inside. He had no idea what would happen next.
However, now that he possessed the Divine Cauldron, he knew that these peculiar energies feared it. Hence, he was no longer afraid.
“I’ll give it a try…” Jared said, taking the initiative to head toward those peculiar energies.
After he detached himself from the Divine Cauldron, those peculiar energies began to assault him once again.
As he deftly dodged, he simultaneously lured those energies toward the Divine Cauldron.
Without warning, a surge of energy was forced into the Divine Cauldron. The immense suction power of the cauldron then took control of it.
After a considerable amount of time had passed, there was no longer any sign of energy within the light curtain. Every trace of existence had been absorbed by the Divine Cauldron.
These energies were chaotically twisting and turning, seemingly filled with immense fear.
Jared gently rested his hand on the Divine Cauldron. As he did so, the intricate markings on its surface began to emit a golden glow, and the energies within the cauldron gradually became calm.
Quickly, these energies began to merge, and streams of white mist steadily emerged from the Divine Cauldron.
At that moment, beyond the light curtain, both Viola and Sigurd had already been consumed
by anxiety.
Jared had been within the light curtain for quite a while now, yet there was no sign of anything. They couldn’t even hear a sound.
On numerous occasions, Viola had attempted to enter the light curtain to find Jared, but each time, Sigurd had stood in her way.
Even Thaddeus and the others were extremely curious. They couldn’t comprehend why there was no sign of activity from Jared inside the light curtain for such a long period of time.
“President Surrey, we only lasted a few minutes before getting injured and thrown out. This guy has been in there for over an hour. Why hasn’t there been any movement yet?” Ernesto asked in a puzzled manner.
“Could he be dead inside?” Vincent wondered.
Thaddeus looked at the light curtain before him. He had personally experienced the peculiar energy within. It was incredibly domineering. They had been forced to retreat within just a few minutes, with many sustaining injuries.
Jared had been inside for quite some time now. He might have already met his end in there.
“He’s probably already dead in there. None of us could hold on for even a few minutes, and now it’s been an entire hour. If he died, our plans would have to change again.”
Things kept changing, giving Thaddeus quite a headache.
“If he died, then those two couldn’t be spared either.”
Ernesto, with a murderous look in his eyes, turned his gaze toward Viola and Sigurd.
Viola and Sigurd were deeply engrossed in the light curtain before them. However, a sudden surge of murderous intent caught them off guard, prompting both of them to turn around at the same time.
Ernesto’s deadly stare sent chills down their spines.
“Let’s not jump the gun. We’ll wait a bit longer. If Jared doesn’t show up within the next fifteen minutes, we’ll take them out, then take a detour up the mountain.”
Thaddeus decided to wait a bit longer.
Upon hearing Thaddeus’ words, Ernesto finally repressed his murderous intent.
“Ms. Viola, why do I get the feeling that these guys are up to no good? They looked as if they wanted to devour us with the way they looked at us just now,” Sigurd said in a hushed voice.
“I felt it too. They probably wanted to kill us,” Viola said with a serious expression.
“Weren’t they just having a pleasant conversation with Mr. Chance? Besides, we have no grudges or disputes with them, so why would they want to kill us?”
Sigurd was utterly puzzled.
