Chapter 407 Apology
“Mr. Wagner, he was the man who killed Zachariah in the arena. He also destroyed the Whitaker family and the Jantz family. Do you want the same thing to happen to the Wagner family?” Clyde explained sternly.
Dominic paled in fright as he choked on his words upon hearing that. “I had no idea… What should we do now?”
“Bast*rd, follow me…”
Luke dragged Dominic with him and left.
Inside the Jantz family’s mansion, Jared, Josephine, and Lizbeth were having a meal.
“Lizbeth, you don’t have to go back to your place tonight. Why don’t you stay here? Then, I will have company!”
Josephine told Lizbeth.
“I don’t want to be a third wheel. What should I do when you two spend the night together? Am I going to be the audience?”
Lizbeth smiled.
Josephine blushed as she shot Lizbeth a glare. “Nonsense. We two are innocent. We’ve never slept together…”
“Your relationship is official. It’s fine even if you did. It will be great if you guys can have a baby soon!”
Lizbeth teased Josephine.
“Forget it. I don’t want to be a mother so soon. I still want to have fun!”
Josephine rolled her eyes at Lizbeth.
Jared did not utter anything as he immediately finished his food and left the table. Indeed, women like to talk about anything!
Sitting on the couch, Jared intended to have brief training. Yet, a subordinate entered the house.
“Mr. Chance, the head of the Wagner family is here to see you…” the subordinate reported.
Jared was not surprised at all. He knew Luke’s character quite well and saw that coming.
“Please tell him I’m busy!” Jared waved his hand.
The subordinate left at once.
Outside the mansion, Luke and Dominic were waiting impatiently. Luke was holding an elegant gift box in his hand.
Seeing the subordinate come out, Luke immediately approached him. “So what did Mr. Chance say?”
“Mr. Chance is busy!” The subordinate closed the door upon saying that.
Luke and Dominic were stunned momentarily as they froze on the spot.
“Dad, what should we do now?” Dominic asked cautiously.
Slap!
Luke slapped Dominic abruptly. “You kneel here until Mr. Chance is willing to see us!”
Dominic did not dare to disobey his order. Without hesitation, he knelt in front of the entrance. Meanwhile, Luke went back to his car and waited.
At night, the thunder roared suddenly, and the rain started pouring down. Luke sat in the car, staring at Dominic who was caught in the rain. His face was utterly indifferent.
The following day, the sky turned bright as a rainbow formed in the sky.
“It’s so beautiful…”
Josephine and Lizbeth were delighted to see the rainbow.
Jared took a deep breath and did some stretching. Just then, a subordinate came and whispered something in his ears.
Jared was stunned momentarily. His lips curled into a smile. “Let’s go out and take a look.”
The door of the mansion was opened, and Jared walked out. He saw Dominic still kneeling on the ground, his body all wet. He looked extremely messy, and his gaze was decadent.
Seeing Jared had finally come out, Luke immediately ran over to him. “Mr. Chance, my son is really foolish, and he has offended you. It’s all his fault! I hope you can spare his life.”
Upon saying that, Luke immediately passed Jared the gift box. Jared did not need to look inside. He knew what was inside simply by sensing the spiritual energy coming from inside.
“Mr. Wagner, you’re being too generous. It was merely a small misunderstanding. There’s no need for the trouble. Please take your son back or he might catch a cold!”
Jared smiled as he accepted the gift box and handed it to his subordinate.
Luke was delighted with Jared’s response and thanked him profusely, “Okay, okay. Mr. Chance, thank you for your generosity. I will be holding a luncheon at my place this noon. I hope I have the honor to serve you!”
