The son and daughter of the Dudley family were present.
What they feared most was that the company would be implicated. If they were blacklisted by Stanton Corporation, it would mean the end of all things.
Camron sat there, looking at Ava with dark eyes.
“Ava.:”
Ava’s heart was apprehensive, and her body was tense.
“Dad, why don’t I go and apologize to Nicole myself?”
Camron said, “Nicole said that you have to cover all the PR fees that Stanton Corporation spent on Harvey Sage.”
Ava sighed in relief. “No problem.”
“Also…” Camron paused before continuing, “You have to record an apology video. You have to admit on camera everything you did since you met her and apologize. Only then will she agree to remove that video.”
Ava’s heart tightened as her face suddenly changed.
“Impossible! She’s going overboard. Why should other matters be involved in this one?”
The surrounding people were silent.
The Dudley family’s eldest son and daughter exchanged a glance.
The older daughter pursed her lips. “Is it overboard? I can tell that Nicole backed off a lot for the sake of our two families.“
The eldest son nodded.
Nicole’s thunderous tactics were well known in the business world.
If Nicole really went overboard, the Dudleys’ family business would have been lost.
Ava was extremely anxious. “She’s clearly using her position to achieve a personal vendetta. She’s rehashing old debts. Dad, we can’t agree!“
Camron looked at her silently.
Ava bit her lip and raised her eyes to look at her newly acknowledged big brother.
“Brother, are we just going to compromise? Nicole is obviously making things hard for us. She isn’t showing any respect to Dad and the Dudley family!“
If the Dudley family stood behind Ava and backed her up, Nicole might not be so aggressive.
Ava’s brother laughed.
“Ava, maybe you don’t understand because you just came back, but Nicole really doesn’t have to show us any respect. Our company almost got caught up in your mess. I advise you to do what she said and settle things for good as soon as possible.“
The air instantly froze.
Ava looked at him, dumbfounded. She then turned to her elder sister who was standing there with an indifferent expression.
She never really had a pleasant impression of this younger sister who the family had just acknowledged, but now, that impression had sunk rock bottom.
Ava looked at Camron, whose silence was a tacit agreement to his son’s words.
Camron did not expect that his youngest daughter that he found again after decades had so many scandalous affairs outside.
Ava was extremely aggrieved as she looked at her cold and heartless family.
It was nothing like the family she imagined.
“Why don’t any of you stand on my side? Daddy, you lost me before, but you said that you would protect me. Why aren’t you doing that?“
Camron ‘s expression was gloomy as he raised his eyes to look at her.
He felt guilty, but he loved the two children he had raised from childhood even more.
Was he supposed to drag the other two down because of Ava?
Besides, what Ava did this time was truly disappointing.
Camron stood up. His face was dark and sullen.
“If you’re so dissatisfied, just pretend as if we never acknowledged you in the first place. You should just go back to the free and easy life you used to have.
No one will ever care about you again.”
Camron finished speaking and went straight upstairs with his cane.
Ava stood there in shock. Her face was filled with disbelief.
She had just blurted a few comments to try and evoke Camron’s guilt and make him stand firmly on her side.
Who would have thought that this would happen? “Daddy…”
There was a tremor in her voice. ‘They would rather disown me?’
