Sebastian eyes reddened at the thought.
With his face pale as a sheet, he clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles let out a bone-chilling crack.
“Mr. Hayes…”
When the members of SteelFort who were keeping watch outside came in, they were shocked and angered by what they saw.
However, even though their boss’ bloodshot eyes were filled with murderous rage, they were relieved when he finally took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
Sebastian ordered, “Find Karl and tell him to show Eddie’s men no mercy at all.”
“Yes!”
“Also, tell Devin that I am giving him two minutes to evacuate everyone to a safe place. He has to get it done by then!”
Word by word, Sebastian uttered them as he seethed.
Two minutes?
The other member of SteelFort, who was still awaiting orders, couldn’t help but feel puzzled.
Why two minutes? Also, given Mrs. Hayes’ dire circumstances, how is he going to save her by sending everyone out?
He began to worry.
However, he chose not to question, given that he was a subordinate who obeyed without question. Finally, he, too, set off and disappeared at the entrance. After which, he dove into the intense battle.
When Sebastian saw that there was no longer anyone around, he pulled open the drawer and grabbed the handgun in it. Soon, he, too, disappeared from the room.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to save Sasha, but he was aware that he needed to do it himself.
As he darted down the steps with a gun in his hand, he kept an intent eye on his watch. Every step he took, he made sure it was done in less than 0.1 seconds.

“Be careful!”
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out.
Before he could react, someone grabbed his shoulder and forcefully dragged him to the side.
“What the hell are you doing? Who asked you to come down here?” It was Karl. When he saw the members of SteelFort coming out earlier, he was struck by an ominous feeling. Hence, he quickly hurried back.
“Mr. Hayes, what in the world are you trying to do? I heard that the old b*stard had hacked into the security cameras. What did he say to you?”
“I have no time to explain!” Sebastian bellowed as he reached out to shove Karl aside.
Realizing the urgency of the situation, Karl let him pass and followed behind instead.
“It’s fine if you don’t want to tell me. In that case, I’ll follow you and watch your back.”
Given how loyal Karl was as a bodyguard, he decided that was the best way he could protect his employer.
However, Sebastian paid no heed to him as he seemed to be desperately searching for something.
As time continued to tick by, the frustration within him began to grow when he didn’t manage to find any clues.
With a pale look on his face, he began to break out in cold sweat.
Bam!
Karl caught up with Sebastian after killing another bandit.
“Mr. Hayes, what are you looking for? You can’t go any further. Or else, we will end up in the center of their range of fire.”
Oblivious to what Karl had said, Sebastian picked up his pace instead.
Just when they were about to turn a corner, a barrage of bullets whizzed in their directions. As if by reflex, Karl gave Sebastian a forceful push to the side.
Thump!
“Ooof!”
Sebastian grunted the same time he forcefully bumped into the staircase’s railing.
Did he hurt himself in the crash?
After making quick work of his foes, Karl gave Sebastian a puzzled look.
He was indeed concerned. Although Sebastian wasn’t as formidable on the battlefield as he was, he wouldn’t have exclaimed in pain just from knocking into the railing.
“Mr. Hayes, are you…”
Holding onto his chest, Sebastian parted his paled lips as he shouted, “Quick, it’s just right in front. Sasha is being locked inside there.”
Karl’s eyebrows jumped at the news.
He helped Sebastian up at once before both of them dashed further below.
However, the closer they got to their destination, the weaker Sebastian became. When they reached the ground floor, they headed in the direction of the coffin section of the museum.
“Mmm…”
Sebastian finally stumbled on his feet.
“Mr. Hayes, what… what’s wrong? Are you…”
“Karl… ignore me and go and save her quickly. She should be in one of those rooms. Also, she is strapped with Eddie’s newly invented explosives with a two-minute detonation time. As of now… one minute and fifteen seconds have passed. Go quickly…”
Sebastian began to feel excruciating pain in his head.
It was the same sensation he felt when traversing the undulating mountain roads of Bellridge. He felt as if something was about to be torn out of him.
The pain was so overwhelming that his vision started to fade.
The radiation from nuclear waves was extremely intense. Even though it was just a small packet of explosives, Eddie’s newly invented weapon could unleash a massive nuclear wave upon detonation.
Karl had no doubts about that.
Upon hearing Sebastian’s words, he raised the gun in his hand and kicked down the room doors one by one.
