“You opened the entrance’s arcane array, and we paid spiritual stones to come in. You can’t possibly claim all the things inside as yours, can you?”
“Can’t we just buy it with our spiritual stones if it comes to that?”
Everyone was feeling dissatisfied and started arguing..
If all the treasures they encountered along the way ended in Catalina’s hands, their journey would have been in vain.
Everyone’s abilities were constrained except for Rightblind’s sword intent. Given the circumstances, no one could match up to him.
“Silence! If you want to obtain the treasures, you will have to fight me first,” Rightblind proclaimed while waving his sword meaningfully.
Upon seeing that, everyone fell silent.
Although they were quiet due to Rightblind’s oppression, their eyes showed defiance.
“Rightblind, you’re being reckless!” Catalina rebuked while glaring at Rightblind, who had no choice but to step back.
“Everyone, you’re right. I don’t own these treasures, nor should I use my power to exploit those weaker than me. Here’s my proposition. Anyone who wants this dagger must trade it using spiritual stones,” Catalina suggested. “Of course, we’ll split the spiritual stones equally. That way, everyone benefits, and our venture here wouldn’t have been in vain.”
Catalina’s suggestion instantly had everyone raising their hands in agreement. After all, this was the best solution..
Each of them would get a share of the pie, so no one objected.
The black-robed middle-aged man frowned slightly and said, “Miss, I’m afraid none of us have as many spiritual stones as you. The treasures will still end up being yours, and we’ll only be able to obtain some spiritual stones.”
It was evident that he was deeply interested in the Daemonia Dagger. However, Catalina was likely the only one here with enough spiritual stones to outbid him if he wanted the dagger.
After all, Catalina had already collected ample spiritual stones at the entrance.
“You can rest assured that I won’t get involved in the bidding. I have no interest in this Daemonia Dagger,” Catalina replied, shaking her head.
Upon hearing that Catalina was not interested, the middle-aged man’s eyes lit up.
“Jared, do you want the dagger?” Catalina asked, turning her gaze toward Jared.
“No thanks. I’m not interested in the Daemonia Dagger since my weapon is more powerful.” Jared also shook his head.
Regardless of whether it was the Dragonslayer Sword, the Dragon Bell, or even the Divine Bow, the power they unleashed was far greater than
the Daemonia Dagger.
Seeing another person give up, the middle-aged man’s eyes shone even brighter.
“Everyone, the Daemonia Dagger is very important to me. It carries a potent lethal intent that will be too overwhelming for you all to handle as we’re practically ordinary individuals now. However, I’m not afraid of the lethal intent, so I hope everyone would consider letting me have this dagger. I’m willing to offer a hundred thousand spiritual stones,” the black-robed middle-aged man courteously addressed the crowd.
He worried that someone might try to compete with him for the Daemonia Dagger. If that were to happen, he would be in real trouble when he ran out of spiritual stones.
“A hundred thousand spiritual stones? Are you trying to trick us? I’ll offer a hundred and fifty thousand spiritual stones!”
Someone immediately objected. After all, the higher the price, the more spiritual stones everyone would receive, so they couldn’t let the black-robed man take away the dagger so easily.
“You…” The black-robed man furrowed his brows, anger visible in his eyes. However, he had no choice but to speak up. “Then I offer two hundred thousand spiritual stones. I hope
you all-”
“Three hundred thousand spiritual stones!” An elderly interrupted.
“Three hundred and fifty thousand!”
“Four hundred thousand!”
“Five hundred thousand!”
Before the black-robed man could even speak, the others had already started clamoring to raise the price.
The black-robed man was livid and stared at the crowd in disbelief. They were clearly messing around, not genuinely interested in the Daemonia Dagger but only wanting to drive up the price.
“A million!” The black-robed man realized if the crowd continued, the price would keep escalating. Therefore, gritting his teeth, he boldly shouted the exorbitant cost of a million spiritual stones.
As expected, when the one million bid was called out, it immediately stunned everyone present. They all stared at the man. No one dared to raise the price further..
Upon realizing no one was raising the price, the black-robed man finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Catalina glanced at the crowd and said, “If no one raises the bid, then the Daemonia Dagger belongs to this gentleman.”
