“Mr. Chance is so formidable…”
Upon seeing Jared’s victory, Cloud instantly erupted in cheer.
Nieva and the others were beyond thrilled. They had just been worrying about Jared, but now, there was no need for concern.
“Mr. Chance is so impressive…”
Alastair was beyond thrilled, cheering enthusiastically. This time, he was about to win a substantial amount of money.
Just as Alastair was in the midst of yelling, Terrence shot him a cold glance. This direct stare startled Alastair, causing him to shut his mouth in fright.
Rory gave a light wave toward a corner of the arena, and the protective arcane array around it vanished in an instant.
The moment the arcane array vanished, Terrence leaped forward, launching an attack on Jared.
The entire Mueller family, along with Rainier, followed suit and ascended the arena.
Upon seeing the situation, Nieva hastily led the numerous holy maidens of Lunarius Palace to join in.
She had brought so many people to prevent the Mueller family from lashing out in desperation and using their numbers to bully the few.
Facing the assault from Terrence, Jared clenched his fist tightly and threw a punch.
Golden light burst forth from Jared’s fist, the terrifying power sending the surrounding cultivators flying in all directions.
Without the barrier of the arcane array, the power of Jared’s punch was something everyone could truly feel.
Terrence furrowed his brows, swiftly sweeping his hands in front of his chest, blocking Jared’s punch.
“Terrence, it was clearly stated before the duel that this was a fight to the death. We leave our fate to the heavens. How can you seek retribution now?”
Rory also made his way to the arena, a slight frown creasing his brow.
With a lethal glint in his eyes, Terrence said, “Jared must pay with his life for killing Mr. Aiden. Otherwise, how can I face Mr. Mueller?”
Aiden was the sole heir to the Mueller family. With Jared having killed him, Terrence was at a loss as to how to explain this to Nolan.
If Jared wasn’t detained, Terrence would undoubtedly face punishment when Nolan emerged from his solitary training.
“Terrence, if you think you can bully us just because you outnumber us, you’re wrong. Lunarius Palace doesn’t fear you. Do you actually believe we, the holy maidens of Lunarius Palace, are pushovers?”
Nieva held an ice sword in her hand, her whole demeanor radiated a deadly intent as she spoke.
“Hmph, Lunarius Palace is nothing. If you dare to stop me, I’ll obliterate Lunarius Palace.”
Terrence didn’t care about Lunarius Palace.
“All right, let’s give it a try, then.”
After Nieva finished speaking, all the holy maidens under her command revealed their weapons, their bodies erupting with waves of chilling energy.
“Everyone, let’s avoid any rash actions. If a fight breaks out, all of Southedge City will suffer. Last time, even Mr. Becker warned you all. If you instigate another large-scale fight and anger Mr. Becker, you know the consequences. Not only Lunarius Palace but also the Mueller family could be wiped out. If Mr. Becker wants to annihilate both families, it would be as easy as a flick of his wrist.”
Rory knew that the words of the lowly carried little weight, so he brought up Anton.
Anton’s appearance might have been unknown to others, but as the branch manager of Pathfinder Sect, Rory was well aware of it.
Indeed, as soon as Rory finished speaking, Nieva and Terrence turned their attention toward him.
The menacing aura around the two individuals had significantly diminished.
After all, no one dared to upset Anton. It wasn’t merely courting death; it was risking the annihilation of their entire sect.
After a moment of hesitation, Terrence retracted his imposing aura, casting a cold glance at Jared. He said, “Kid, good luck to you. Once Mr. Mueller emerges, he will surely make your death a miserable one.”
Having said that, Terrence left with Aiden’s body.
He dared not anger Anton. If he did, it would spell the end for the Mueller family, and it wouldn’t be settled just by Aiden’s death.
Terrence left, paying no mind to Rainier.
