An elderly cultivator sporting a white beard said to Jared, “Kid, have you lost your mind? You’re actually placing your bet on Jared, not to mention such a large amount. I’ve heard that Jared is merely a Tribulator. Even if he’s a Top Level Tribulator, there’s no way he can be a match for Mr. Aiden.”
“No. I heard that Jared was only a Seventh Level Tribulator. Still, even at that level, he’s more than a match for Aiden,” Jared replied with a faint smile.
After hearing Jared’s words, the cultivators present were astonished. They all began to ridicule Jared, convinced he was merely spouting nonsense.
After all, claiming that a Seventh Level Tribulator could defeat a Top Level Ultimate Realm Level One cultivator was no different from making a joke.
“Who’s saying that a Seventh Level Tribulator can defeat an Ultimate Realm Level One cultivator? I’d really like to see who’s so audacious.” At that moment, a chilling voice echoed.
The next second, Rainier, leading his men, entered.
Upon seeing Rainier appear, the numerous cultivators inside the gambling house were momentarily taken aback and instinctively stepped back.
The aura an Ultimate Realm Level Two cultivator exuded was enough to intimidate those cultivators.
After all, Rainier had attained the Ultimate Realm, the cultivation level closest to the Immortal Realm. Countless people had cultivated desperately just to get stuck as a Tribulator.
Though it seemed as if there were as many Ultimate Realm cultivators, Ultimate Realm cultivators were actually considered rare when considering their ratio against all cultivators in Ethereal Realm.
When Rory saw Rainier arrive with his entourage, he frowned slightly. The unmistakable scent of blood on Rainier was a clear sign that he was a Demonic Cultivator, not to mention the kind that killed often.
Jared furrowed his brows as he observed Rainier. He couldn’t help but notice an aura about the latter that was eerily similar to that of Cassius and Trystan.
“Fellow cultivator, this is a gambling house, a place for everyone to enjoy. So, some words shouldn’t be taken seriously.” Rory stepped forward, his face beaming with a smile as he addressed Rainier.
Rory feared Rainier would lose his temper due to Jared’s recent remarks and start a fight.
After all, when Jared claimed that a Seventh Level Tribulator could defeat an Ultimate Realm Level One cultivator, it would undoubtedly stir discomfort within those Ultimate Realm cultivators.
Having achieved the Ultimate Realm, one must have had exceptional abilities and endured countless hardships. Now, to have someone dismiss their accomplishments so casually, they would undoubtedly be upset.
“Don’t worry. Since we’re at Pathfinder Sect, I won’t take advantage of the weak. Still, since someone values Jared so much that he’s bet so much money, I’ll place a bet too. However, I’m betting on Aiden to win.”
After Rainier had finished speaking, he tossed a bag of purple spirit coins, placing his bet on Aiden’s side.
After placing his bet, Rainier cast a cold glance at Jared and said, “Brat, I hope to see you on the day of the fight. Don’t you dare run away.”
As he spoke, a surge of energy suddenly erupted from Rainier, heading straight for Jared.
Jared was merely a Seventh Level Tribulator. Logically, a slight bit of pressure from Rainier should’ve been enough to bring the latter to his knees.
Yet, when Rainier’s presence bore down on Jared, Jared remained rooted to his spot, seemingly unaffected.
Rainier couldn’t help but furrow his brows and further intensify his aura.
To his surprise, Jared remained still. Evén though Jared didn’t move, the people around him couldn’t bear it any longer.
Many people gritted their teeth, pushing themselves to their limits, while some even collapsed onto the ground.
“Fellow cultivator, I hope you’ll do Pathfinder Sect a favor and refrain from causing trouble here.” Rory’s face flushed red as he spoke to Rainier.
At that time, Rory was struggling to endure the aura and could only resort to using Pathfinder Sect to threaten Rainier.
Rainier withdrew his aura. After casting a surprised glance at Jared, he turned and led his men away.
