He charged straight at the greatsword.
“What is Mr. Chance planning to do?”
Upon witnessing the situation, Sigurd turned pale in shock.
“Mr. Chance, you’re not planning on getting yourself killed, are you? Instead of evading, why are you charging straight at that greatsword?”
Wyatt was equally puzzled, unsure of what Jared was planning to do.
Even Stanton himself didn’t expect Jared to meet his opponent head-on instead of taking evasive maneuvers.
He’s letting me kill him! Why is he doing something like that? Is it a trick?
Just as Stanton couldn’t comprehend what was happening, Jared’s body had collided with the greatsword in his hand.
Boom!
Accompanied by a thunderous rumble, golden light filled the surroundings. Jared’s Golem Body was falling piece by piece, slowly fading away like snowflakes.
As the golden light glistened in the air, everyone was taken aback to see that Jared, despite his slender frame, had actually withstood the blow from the greatsword.
There he was, gripping the greatsword tightly with both hands, his eyes filled with disdain and hostility.
“How is this possible?”
Stanton was immediately dumbfounded.
The sword attack he had just unleashed was so powerful that even an Ultimate Realm expert would be fearful to take it head-on, potentially being slayed in a single blow. Yet, Jared was unfazed despite being a mere Sixth Level Tribulator.
How could he have possibly withstood this strike and even appeared unscathed? This can’t be possible!
Everyone else was also bewildered, staring blankly at the scene.
Many had witnessed Jared’s capabilities before, but no one had expected him to be this powerful.
The latter had faced a sword head-on. If one’s physical body wasn’t exceptionally robust, one wouldn’t have dared to attempt it.
“My goodness, is this something a Sixth Level Tribulator is actually capable of?”
Dylan licked his lips, his face filled with disbelief.
As for the everyone else, they were still stunned by the scene.
Upon witnessing the unfolding events, Thaddeus and the others felt their hearts racing uncontrollably. They were gripped by the fear that if Jared were to kill Stanton, none of them would be able to escape.
“President Surrey, what do we do? Jared is unbelievably powerful. He’s not human…” Ernesto exclaimed in fear.
“What’s there to fear? It’s not a given that Stanton will lose. Let’s just wait and see. If Stanton is no match for him, we’ll quietly slip away. Anyway, no one is paying attention to us now. If things get really bad, we’ll just vehemently deny any collusion with the Sky Slasher Sect. Without proof, they wouldn’t dare to kill us, right?”
Thaddeus decided to wait and see. After all, he had prepared for all eventualities.
Despite his words, he was terrified. His legs were constantly trembling.
Since his subordinates obeyed him without question, he couldn’t show any fear or they would know they were done for.
Thaddeus knew that once his men’s loyalty wavered, he would lose all his leverage.
“You may look like a towering and intimidating giant, but you’re devoid of any strength. Turns out, you’re just all fluff!”
A cold smirk surfaced on Jared’s face as he spoke to Stanton.
Stanton was both furious and aggrieved, gritting his teeth he said, “Don’t get too cocky. I haven’t lost yet…”
Buzz!
Suddenly, the greatsword was covered with crimson runes. A surge of uncontrollable power erupted.
Jared gazed at the crimson runes flickering ceaselessly on the greatsword, his smile broadening as he said, “Challenging me with runes? You’re no match for me…
After Jared finished speaking, he surprisingly traced a few forceful strokes on the greatsword with his finger.
In an instant, the immense power about to burst from the greatsword subsided immediately. The sword trembled, sending the giant flying.
Stanton was taken aback, staring in disbelief at the massive sword in his hand.
With a face full of shock, Stanton asked, “What… what exactly did you draw on my greatsword?”
The greatsword was his weapon, and he had imbued all of the crimson runes onto it.
Little did he expect that all it took was a couple of strokes from Jared to render all the crimson runes completely ineffective.
