After all, the had no idea if the alchemists were in lleague with Thaddeus. Moreover, even if they wererilt, there was no guarantee that they would believe him had he told them about it.
Ad present, he was in a hurry to find Wyatt and Dyllat. The only way then was to convince the DAVO men about it before gradually spreading the news.
“I’ve been looking for you all this time, Mr. Chance. Why are you so slow?” Wyatt called out to Jared as he was heading toward the mountaintop with the others.
“I got held up by some matters, so I was a little late in getting to the mountain, President Chancel”
Upon seeing Wyatt, Jared promptly breathed a sigh of relief.
Having run into him now, I can inform him about Thaddeus’ conspiracy!
“No wonder I didn’t see you all the way here,” Wyatt said.
After saying that, he noticed Felipe and Freya and remarked in curiosity, “I didn’t know you two were traveling with Mr. Chance. I even had people looking for you. Cauldron Peak isn’t safe. Given your meager capabilities, don’t go wandering around!”
“Understood, President Chance!” Felipe and Freya’s faces were flushed with embarrassment and shame.
Just moments ago, they claimed to be considered nobodies in Central Alchemist Guild, utterly disregarded as thin air. But right then, not only did Wyatt remember them, but he even specially sent people to look for them, making it clear that he cared for them.
“President Chance, I have something to tell you. Please come with me!”
Jared called Wyatt aside to a secluded spot since the man was accompanied by quite a few alchemists, and he was uncertain if any of them were in cahoots with Thaddeus.
Take Felipe and Freya, for instance. Despite being alchemists of Central Alchemist Guild, they still colluded with Thaddeus.
“What is it that warrants all this mysteriousness, Mr. Chance?” Wyatt asked in perplexity.
“President Chance, do you have any idea about the intentions of the president of Epean Alchemist Guild, Thaddeus Surrey?” Jared queried.
“Intentions? What intentions?” Wyatt was taken aback.
“I’ll be frank with you. Thaddeus has conspired with Sky Slasher Sect to make a move against Medicine God Island. He has rallied quite a number of alchemists, intending to restructure the alchemy world of the Ethereal Realm! If we don’t stop him this time, many alchemists would likely lose their lives on Medicine God Island,” Jared divulged.
Wyatt’s eyes widened to saucers, his face a picture of disbelief.
“What? You’re saying that Thaddeus is planning to take on all alchemists in the entire alchemy world? He couldn’t possibly have the guts, could he? Also, how did you find out about his collusion with Sky Slasher Sect?”
Jared knew that no one would believe him easily, so he meticulously recounted the entire sequence of events to the man.
Even so, Wyatt found it hard to believe that Thaddeus had the nerve to do so.
Left with no other choice, Jared could only call Felipe and Freya over.
It was only after hearing from Felipe and Freya that Wyatt was convinced.
However, the matter gave him quite a headache as there was no guarantee that anyone would believe him even if he were to tell them about it.
At the end of the day, everyone was essentially competitors on Cauldron Peak. Perhaps everyone would think that he was just crying wolf and deliberately trying to scare them off the mountain.
“All I can do right now is to caution the alchemists of Central Alchemist Guild to be careful. But others might not necessarily believe me,” Wyatt said.
“I understand. Let’s go and look for the Zorn and Zeever families now. If we can convince them of the matter, we’ll have leverage against Thaddeus and the others. At that time, even if the other alchemists don’t believe it, Thaddeus won’t be able to succeed,” Jared declared.
