161. What Did She Do Wrong?
The slap stunned him. It stunned the Driver, and Steve as well. “What! the-” the Driver swallowed any word he wanted to say and he tripped on his feet, quickly catching himself from toppling over.
“Heidi…” Lucas touched his cheek, the redness spreading on his fair skin.
“You evil and heartless scumbag! Won’t you leave me alone for crying out loud!? Lucas Harrison, tell me, did I do anything wrong that you’re keen on getting vengeance by constantly humiliating me!?” She yelled, her emotions soaring.
“Damnit, Lucas! You’re so shameless, I don’t believe you’re a normal human.”
Maybe he was a psychopath, and Heidi had been the masochist who’d endured hardship in his grips for three years.
Dreading to stare at his face any longer, lest her emotions explode, she got inside the car.
Steve followed her, speechless, and he drove them off.
The car raced away, leaving mountains of smoke behind. Covering his mouth, the Driver coughed rapidly. “A-Aha! M-Mr. Harrison, can we go home.”
Lucas’s stormy eyes followed the direction the car took, his hands balling into fists.
He didn’t answer the Driver, but went inside his car and sat in the backseat. The car ride was silent, with the Driver trembling in his seat, constantly wiping off his sweat.
His eyes darted now and then to the rearview mirror, and every time, he met the man’s glare which made him want to pee in his pants.
The car arrived inside the Harrisons Villa, and the Driver didn’t waste a second to flee for his life.
Lucas strode inside the living room, holding the nylons filled to the brim with ice cream cups.
Tracy was on the couch, holding her stomach with both hands, her eyes shut and her expression ebbed with pain.
“Honey, have you brought the ice cream?”
Lucas dumped the nylons on her, startling her to open her eyes. Tracy met his dark gaze and she stood up, shivering from the chilling moisture on the bags.
“W-What’s wrong, Honey? Did you have a hard time finding the ice cream? Please don’t blame me, our baby needs it. I feel I will die if I don’t take it.”
“Then what are you waiting for?”
Lucas pushed her hand away before she could touch him. Then he stormed upstairs.
Not comprehending the actual meaning behind his words, Tracy sat on the couch, looking confused.
She no longer had the urge to take the ice cream, her mind filled with curiosity. And she followed him upstairs.
Tracy met Lucas undressing in his closet. She approached him, extending her arms to touch him. “Honey, why do you seem so mad? Did someone look for your trouble? You shouldn’t be mad at me and the baby, right?”
“What are you doing here?”
The air froze.
“I- I came to check on you,” Tracy stammered.
“Where’s the ice cream I just bought for you?” His tone harsh with anger and irritation, his deep glare made her shudder.
“C-Come on, Honey. Y-You’re more important than the ice cream, I just want to make sure you’re alright-”
“Get out! Get out! If you don’t finish that ice cream, you won’t touch any food in this house!”
The house shook with his yell, Tracy’s soul was already out of the room before her body did.
Her weakened limbs couldn’t carry her down the stairs, and she almost slipped and fell more than once.
“Young Miss, are you alright?” Luckily, the maid caught her in time, otherwise, Tracy would have found herself running out of the Villa.
Tracy couldn’t form a reply, her whole body trembling like a leaf.
Lucas- Lucas…
Since when did he become so dangerous?
Ever since she’d known him, Lucas had never yelled at her this way.
Mira gave her a pitiful look, because she’d heard the yells from the kitchen.
She sighed, putting on a sad smile which appeared to be more sarcastic to Tracy. “You haven’t seen anything yet. The Young Master is always this way whenever he gets enraged. The former Young Madam has seen worse.”
Worse?
Tracy couldn’t help but feel fear in her heart.
The Lucas Harrison she knew was the most gentle man on earth.
What went wrong?
What did she do wrong?
