160. Not Holding Back
No doubt, the man had recognized her because the glass windows of Steve’s car weren’t tinted. Heidi didn’t know why Steve didn’t continue driving. Maybe he was as shocked as her.
Slowly, Lucas approached, his eyes gleaming with a coldness that was directed towards Steve.
He stopped on Heidi’s side and knocked on the window, giving her a look as if he’d caught her cheating red-handed.
“Come out!” Lucas said in a hard tone, his voice intimidating.
“Heidi, I said come out here.”
But Steve was already out of the car before Heidi.
“How may we help you, Mr. Harrison?”
“Didn’t I warn you to stay away from her?” Lucas directed his glare at Steve.
“Do I have to follow your orders?”
Steve laughed, looking amused. “Mr. Harrison, stop disturbing Heidi. She’s no longer your possession.”
“Is she your possession then?”
“Very soon, she will.”
Steve was smiling and Lucas looked as if he would flip the car over.
Heidi sighed in frustration, rubbing her suddenly aching forehead. “Lucas Harrison, can you please leave us alone?”
“No. Come out.”
“Heidi will not come out,” Steve butted in.
“Mind your words, Mr. Anderson.”
“You’re a responsible businessman, but you’seem to love bullying a defenseless lady. Heidi doesn’t want to come with you, is that a crime?”
“Repeat what you just said.”
“Oh, I will.”
Heidi wanted to scream out loud, seeing a fight about to break out between the two. She decided to leave the car to give Lucas a piece of her mind, but that was Heidi’s biggest mistake.
Instantly, Lucas grabbed her and pulled her forward, making her crash into him.
“What are you doing out here with him at this time of the evening?”
“Hey, let go of me.”
Lucas held her chin, forcing her to look into his dark narrowed eyes. “Will you not stop this foolishness until I do something you’ll all regret?”
His anger reflected in his eyes, the surrounding air chilling her to the bones. Heidi couldn’t even find the energy to struggle, her limbs feeling weak under his dark gaze.
Before Steve could even come to her rescue, Lucas did the most unimaginable thing. He leaned forward and kissed her lips, gently yet harshly. He didn’t let her go until she tasted metal.
From behind her, Heidi could hear Steve gasp.
Lucas pulled away, murmuring the words against her lip. “We are still a couple, our divorce isn’t finalized. Do I have to keep reminding you of that?”
Heidi tensed up, her aching lips parting, the shock not letting her utter any words.
“You are mine, Heidi-” he enunciated each word, his devilishly handsome face frosting all over. “The next time I see you together, I’ll destroy him.”
His words weren’t a threat but a promise. Heidi’s heart slammed against her chest, each word he said resonating in her mind.
Then the hasty footsteps of the Driver brought her out of her shock.
The Driver panted heavily, stopping beside Lucas, in his hands were large bags with the shop’s tags on them. ” Mr. Harrison…”
He paused to catch his breath. “Th- These. I hope these will be enough for Ms. Carlson. Do you think we should buy more?”
Lucas released Heidi and threw furtive glance at the nylons. “Unless she wants to burst her stomach, this will do.”
“Thank goodness! Then we have to hurry back, Ms. Carlson was impatient when we left the Villa.”
Heidi didn’t need to put two and two together to guess what was happening.
His pregnant mistress crazed some ice cream, and he raced out at this time to get it for her.
Once again, Lucas had shown her how selfish and heartless he could be.
Heidi didn’t even know why she wanted to cry.
She just felt humiliated, stupid, and harassed.
“Smack!!!”
The hard slap echoed in the whole empty street. This time, she didn’t hold back a bit.
