However, one day, someone informed Jared that beyond this school, there were countless other schools, with students who could easily surpass the top student of this school!
This fact was difficult for Jared to accept.
“Isn’t striving tirelessly to improve oneself and achieve immortality enough?” Jared muttered to himself. Jared’s goal was to attain immortality and find his father.
“Attain immortality?” Fire Spirit Lord suddenly burst into laughter. “Do you know that in the Immortal Realm, ascended immortals are considered the lowest existence? And you should be aware that the Immortal Realm is just one world in the entire Celestial Realm. The Celestial Realm is divided into thirty-six levels, each containing countless worlds. Just imagine, what is the Ethereal Realm, and what are immortals?”
Jared remained silent, his expression turning incredibly serious.
Observing Jared’s demeanor, Fire Spirit Lord laughed again. “Don’t be disheartened. Even though there are thousands of worlds, individuals with your talent are rare. As long as you don’t give up and diligently cultivate your skills, you’re bound to achieve great things in the future. When that time comes, you mustn’t forget about me. After all, I’m somewhat of a mentor to you. Although the inheritance I left is just a simple divine martial art, it should be sufficient for you at this stage.”
Fire Spirit Lord was perhaps afraid that Jared would be devastated and disheartened, so he comforted him.
“Thank you, sir!” Jared nodded, his eyes filled with determination once again.
“Elder, did you seal this Celestial Battlefield? Several Celestial Battlefields in the Ethereal Realm are sealed,” Jared asked.
The Celestial Battlefield had been sealed off, making it impossible for ordinary people to easily enter!
Fire Spirit Lord nodded. “Yes, back then, various clans were in chaos, and millions of cultivators died. There were numerous divine weapons, and countless magical items were left behind. If it hadn’t been sealed, the human realm would have long turned into a wasteland. These magical items, as marvelous as they are, also corrupt the mind, inciting people to slaughter each other.”
“Sir, since you sealed the Celestial Battlefield, I have something I’d like to ask you about,” Jared said and took out the watch.
Jared attempted many times, but the watch remained non-functional. However, Jared was certain that this watch was some sort of time magical item, but he just didn’t know how to activate it!
During the time of crisis, the beast egg had been used!
When Jared took out his watch, surprisingly, Fire Spirit Lord didn’t even spare it a glance. Instead, his gaze was firmly fixed on Jared’s Storage Ring!
With a puzzled look on his face, Jared said, “Sir, this is a Storage Ring. Do you like it? If you do, I can give it to you…”
Jared had thought that Fire Spirit Lord was interested in his Storage Ring.
“Nonsense, why would I need your inferior trinket? If I wanted to store something, I could simply create a storage world of my own. Why would I bother wearing a storage magical item and risk being ridiculed?” Fire Spirit Lord replied, his voice dripping with disdain.
“Then why were you staring at my Storage Ring?” Jared asked in confusion.
“I saw that little creature in your Storage Ring. Take it out so I can have a closer look…”
Fire Spirit Lord was interested in examining Jared’s little unicorn. Upon hearing this, Jared quickly took out the little unicorn and said, “Sir, I obtained a beast egg in the Celestial Battlefield which hatched into this little unicorn. Unfortunately, it’s still too small to ride…”
Fire Spirit Lord gazed intently at the little unicorn for quite some time before finally speaking. “Are… are you certain that this was found within the Celestial Battlefield?”
Jared nodded and said, “Yes, it was originally an egg. After absorbing the celestial water, it hatched. I had no idea it would be a little unicorn.”
